Oh god... Someone up there hates me!!!
United is offering a special offer to those who are a part of their Mileage Plus program (frequent flyer)...
If you buy a fare from Dec. 14 - Jan. 5 and travel through Jan. 5. - Mar. 20, the round trip fare to Tokyo or Osaka is only $325 from NYC. Or $280 from Portland, OR.

That's during my Spring Break!!! Kya!!! The spring break that I'm spending building houses in red clay and possibly rain in rural Virginia for low income families!!! WHY THE HELL DIDN'T THEY ANNOUNCE THIS SOONER?! I would have sooooooooo (emphasis on the SOOOOOOOO) gone. I mean, geez, it's $1275 for round trip tickets, 5 nights "superior accommodation" and 5,000 bonus miles! I could use those bonus miles! And that's not that bad actually considering how much it would normally cost!!! GRRRR!!!
I kinda sorta wanna cancel on the ASB (alternative spring break) people but that'll make me look really selfish and shallow... :( I mean, yeah, I don't want to help under privileged people and the greater good because I want to go gallivanting around Tokyo for a week and that just seems more fun. :(
