Why?

Why can't I get onto to irc.rizon.net? I know FET released a new chapter of PoT (which I would have downloaded yesterday had I not been totally dead) and I want it now!!! :(

I got my laptop! It's a little slower than my other computer but it's pretty good. It's also pretty heavy (almost 8 lbs)...

I can't express how terrible I felt yesterday and today. I don't know what happened but something went totally, absolutely wrong with my laptop. It was okay when I turned it off but when I turned it back on... It just didn't work any more. I couldn't open anything at all -- no programs, no documents... I couldn't even use Help. I couldn't use Ctrl Alt Del and I couldn't Shut Down or even Restart. I didn't know what to do. I had had it for one day and it was already it was malfunctioning... You don't know how broken-hearted I was! I was crushed and worried and I had no idea what to do.

Finally, I decided to just leave it and try it again today morning, hoping that it would magically fix itself overnight. No luck. It was just the same today...

Finally, I decided I'd use the recovery DVD that was shipped with my laptop. I hadn't really done much to it besides installing a few programs and placing my anime music on it, all of which would be easily redone when they're wiped off the computer.

When I did it the first time, everything was doing well and there was like 80% left so I left the room to go watch the Olympics but when I went back, the computer was turned off! Off! For no reason! It wasn't supposed to do that! I was so scared that I had done irrepairable damage to my computer... I tried it again and this time I waited the entire time (about 1 hour) and watched it. It finally worked and everything was okay. I did the whole process again but this time I unfortunately misspelled "Kimeru" for my computer name (I love him, so sue me). I accidently left off the "u" in it... I wish I could have done Kime instead -- that would have been better than "Kimer."

*sigh* I have to mention this one thing before I finish this entry. I'm extremely disappointed in China this year... They did so badly in gymnastics! I'm seriously broken-hearted. No metals! :( They better do better during the individual... They must win uneven bars and pommel horse. Must, must, must!!! And they better do better in Beijing. I will not forgive a loss in their own country.
