Fate Hates Me

Well, today was rather boring....

I woke up around 7:40 AM because of my 8:30 lab and as I was working on my computer, I hear thunder. Apparently it was raining but I didn't realize how bad it was. While I was dressing, I was cursing my luck. Then there was a flash of light and I suddenly realize, hey, it's not just thunder, it's thunder and lightening! Joy!

It was so scary! I was just about to leave and I was still in my chair working on the computer (since I like to check my mail, Animesuki, Manganews, LJ) and all at once, a bright flash of lightening right when a loud thunder sounded. It freaked me and my roommate out (she was awoken by the thunder) and we both jumped a mile.

I knew it would be pretty bad out there but then I actually got out there. Rain. Pouring rain. There was just so much water!!! I haven't even seen that much rain in my life! And I was walking in it for like 10 mins. The streets were soaked and the puddles are freaking huge. The wind just basically rendered my umbrella useless since it threw the water on me. It was taking a shower. Within a few minutes, I was totally soaked. LIke totally... Do you know how heavy wet clothes are and how annoying it is to have your shoes become sponges? I literally could squish water in my shoes -- my socks were totally soak (most soak part of my body, I think).

And all the time I was clutching my umbrella, hoping nothing terrible would happen as lightning and thunder was surrounding me. I just felt like fate was telling me that a Saturday lab was the worst thing I have ever done even though I had no choice in the matter...

And it sucked not having my glasses... :( Without them, it was really hard to judge the distance between me and uncoming cars as I was crossing the roads... I think the rain made it just so much worse.

My glasses are fixed by the way.

Lab was annoying. My lab partner was annoying but only during the lab. She's so exact and meticulous that it drove me nuts. It took three times as much time to finish the lab than was needed. Grrr... But she's a nice person to talk to outside of the lab. I even invited her up to my room to see how freaking cool it is. :) I love my dorm room. Next year will be weird when I don't have this room. It'll probably be half its size or something and I'll have that nasty brown water. *makes a face*

Other stuff from today... I made wonton soup with rice noodles. They were good but I made way too much. The premade wontons I bought were fish wontons... I didn't even know fish wontons exist. Wow, surprise to me.

I made a dent in my Calculus homework. Yay! Now I have to finish it (just a dent), do my Chem homework, my Chem essay, my WTE essay, my WTE required reading and comments and my Chem prelab and I'll be all set. Yay. So much work... I don't wanna do anything...

*sigh* I'm going to get some FMA in (or WS, whichever) and then try to finish my homework.

I have been thus far unable to download any Saiyuki Reload from mIRC. This is Sherry disappointed... :(

We were going to see a movie today. Wimbledom... *sniffs* But I'm not watching it and I'm stuck in the dorm room. Like Michelle, Stephanie and me were going to go for the 10:20 showing but Michelle left to go and get something to eat but then she didn't come back. It's now too late to go and I was really looking forward to seeing that movie!!! I mean it's tennis related and Sherry is tennis crazy! :( *grumbles* Damn her...
