*love love love*
Jan. 21st, 2005 01:10 pmI love Nawlins. I seriously do. So many times has she been able to send me things I NEVER thought I would be able to get. I love her. She...she...she...SENT ME HARU WO DAITEITA MANGA!!! So much more of it too! I'm overcome with emotion and happiness. I'm so happy. When I saw how much of it was there, I seriously screamed. Thankfully nobody is in my room right now (have a vague suspicion that Michelle is asleep since she hadn't even come back when I went to sleep) but regardless, I yelled. I'm so happy!!! *sniffs* I just want to cry. This is the perfect way to fix a crappy day. *sniffs* Happy happy happy!!! :)
Masha, if you see this, I will definitely share. I'll write about it later in my letter, kay? We'll enjoy this together. *vbg*
Today was so damn cold. I was the only one in my room that had an 8 AM class so I walked to campus on my own...nobody to suffer with... It was 12 F and it felt like 0 F (from weather.com, love that site!) and I wore three layers of clothing. Unfortunately, that mean a long-sleeved shirt, a jacket and my winter coat over it. So the top part of my body was absolutely covered and my legs weren't. Half way there, it started to feel like a part of my leg had frozen to the bone but I guess it could have just been a muscle spasm since I was walking very fast trying to get into the building as soon as I could.
Lab lect went well. We saw the same safety video again... It was so hilarious the first time. I loved the part where it went over the proper way of inserting a glass tube into a stopper and how the person jabbed it into their palm and blood started going up the tube. LOL! But that wasn't the best part. The best has to be when they showed what happened if you get splashed with a chemical and how you're supposed to go to the shower.
Imagine this, a guy is walking around with a beaker with a chemical. He accidently spills it onto another guy. The first guy guides the other guy to the shower and the guy starts taking off all his clothes. The narrator/commentor said to forget about modesty as the teacher would guide the students out of the lab but the first guy is still there and he's staring at the other guy. And you still have the other guy shedding his clothing. You see his underwear fly into his pile of clothes and he's totally naked. And the other guy is still standing there, staring downward.
I mean, I guess it could have been the guy was concerned and wanted to make sure the other guy was okay but it looked like he was checking the other guy out. Very blatantly too.
Russia Recitation was good. It's all based on discussion and that worries me... There's this one guy, Gai from Seattle but originally from the UK. He has the best British accent in the world! Every time he opened his mouth, I just felt like it was Giles talking. So genteel and so incredibly British. Kya!!! He's not too cute but okay to look at but he wears glasses and he has the best things to say. He's so informed and so collected... *dies*
Chem recitation was boring as hell. It's a huge one (like 25 some people) and I'm not used to that but it's okay I guess... I couldn't wait to get out of there. It was absolutely hell. The TA is good but she was so damn boring and she just kinda went off on her own without the rest of the class. She answered her own questions before we would have a chance to answer them ourselves and just covered her own stuff instead of doing questions from us...but then again, not that we had that many questions... It's gonna be a long year...
But I'm happy! I have HwD!!! YES!!!
And again, I LOVE NAWLINS!!! She is the bestest person in the whole wide world!!! :)
