The Resourceful Sherry!

What happened was that as I was trying to get a tissue, the check that was on my tissue box fell to the back. It was on my self on top of my desk so it fell through the crack in the back down to my desk. The only problem was that it fell behind the tagboard makes up back of my desk on the first level. There's no way to remove it so I thought the check would be lost since there's no way I could my hand behind there... Short of over-turning my entire desk, it seemed hopeless.
And then I thought of something rather smart, if I should say so myself. There's this small wad of sticky putty on the front of my desk, right below the first shelf. It's been there since the beginning of the school year actually. I took that and some string I use for emergency sewing and made a makeshift fishing line. Basically. I stuck the putty on one end of the string. I then extended the string down from the first shelf down behind the tagboard. My first try didn't work and I ended up empty handed when I pulled it up. But the second time I dropped the string down and then pulled it back up, the check was stuck on the putty! Lucky! It wasn't a big check, only like six bucks but still, it's money.
Anyway, aside from that, more on today. My mom called and talked about Chinese New Year since she was starting to get ready for it. We talked and I found out Diana's been at OSU for the last two days. I had no idea. That meanie...She didn't even think to tell me about it? :(
Anyway, after that, me, Xiao and Steph tried to go to Coral Towers to see if we could see a room there but unfortunately, we couldn't... :( Then me and Xiao went down to Chinatown and we bought a ton of stuff! I know have fruits and the Chinese New Year candies stuff. And veggies to last me the next two weeks. If they don't spoil too soon. And hopefully not. :)
I'm planning on taking everything tomorrow and washing them... *makes a face* I hate doing laundary. It's so annoying.
Hopefully I'll get some stuff done tonight...after I finish watching Full Metal Panic. I didn't think I would like it to tell you the truth. I mean Fumuffu (or is it Fumoffu?) was such a put off and frankly, my anime club makes me hate the animes they show there. Anyway, it's pretty good and I'm on episode 19 with only six more episodes to go. Seki Tomokazu is in it (kyah!!) and for a bit, also Koyasu Takehito. I died when I heard his voice in Zaied. I love Koyasu so much!
Ah, maybe I should find a good place to stop to read Lenin's "State and Revolution" and his Last Writings... If I don't, I'll just end up putting them off until tomorrow methinks. Ah, well see, I guess.
