My sister just graduated! Yay for Diana-chan!!! It was a hellish ceremony but they had close to a 300 grads (my class was only about 200) and again it was on the field so we were on the grass. My eyes are all red now and it started sprinkling a bit during the middle of it. Thankfully it didn't rain.
I went early and save seats... o.O It's really a cutthroat world out there when it comes to preferred seating. I got prime seats but it was hell trying to keep them from other families who were like hawks descending on their prey. I actually went an hour and a half early to save seats. And my family still ended up coming late. :\
There were so many cool exchange students this year! And two from our sister city in Tsuruta, Japan! I never had Japanese exchange students ever in the four years I was in that high school. Somehow, I feel kinda gypped.
This year it was really cold. I nearly froze to death wearing a t-shirt and shorts and thinking it'll be like all the other years and be hot as hell. Last year it was extremely windy (a few of our caps actually flew off, despite the bobby pins we secured them with) but it was hot. This year it was not as windy but it was so cold. I was definitely not dressed right for today...
But it over now. My sister had three cords, just as I did: silver for CIM, blue for CAM and gold for NHS and even though she broke her 4.0 last year (a single B in her entire high school career ruined it for her for valedictorian), she still graduated in the top 10 of her class.
She's now at the all-nigh senior graduation party at the Elks Lodge held by the parents of the seniors and hopefully she'll win herself lots of neat prizes. All I got was a cooler, an alarm clock and $50 so I didn't do too well last year. Hopefully she wins big at Blackjack or Poker for her to win a DVD player or microwave or something. Hopefully. Good luck to her!
