Live 8 and Venus' Win
Jul. 2nd, 2005 05:02 pmLive 8 is on VH1 right now and I just happened to turn it onto that channel... I've been thinking about BECK too much -- somehow I can't get it out of my mind that if BECK were real, they would find some weird way to be playing during this, lol.
So, I wrote a fan letter to Mark Gardener, the person who sang My World Down, the ED for the BECK anime. Actually, it was more of a song fan letter since I have no clue who the hell Mark Gardener is...
*yawns* I had the worst night of sleep last night... I couldn't fall asleep and then I couldn't stay asleep and then I woke up early because I couldn't fall back asleep from one of the moments where I couldn't stay asleep...
But when I woke up today, Venus had already won Wimbledon. Yay! I have been hoping for a Venus revival since Serena lost and before she beat that Sharapova (for some reason, I really don't like Sharapova). But she won! 14th seed and Wimbledon winner! I always did like Venus more than Serena...
They released Initial D: 4th Stage episode 15 today. Sherry wants it so badly! It's Initial D! What other anime has had me so mysteriously captivated? It's not like a PoT obsession and it's not like my HnG obsession but while some times I think I'm less into ID than those major loves of mine, the truth is I think ID rivals them pretty well, though in different ways. I can't explain it but ID satisfies a different part of me.
Okay since this post is mostly spam, I'm gonna end it here. I really have nothing more to say. Only that SE7EN's Girl is really really pop-y, stereotypically so even. But it's sweet and sad (well, it's supposed to be anyway) and it hopeful too. I love how it sounds and the lyrics are okay. A few years ago, a song this sappy would have made me want to write a HP/DM songfic but now I'm just trying to wrestle with Tezuka and Sanada's characters. I really don't know them well enough to write them I think. Or Atobe for that matter. I don't think anything is really come of my drabbles but it does give me something to do when I'm bored to death at home.
Oh, and I had the most interesting dream a few days ago... It was an Atobe/Sanada sex scene (the first time I've had a sex scene in a dream before) and it was positively smexy. But then Tezuka showed up and Sanada got really upset at losing Atobe's attention and it all went downhill from there. At least it was heading that a way since I woke up not long after that. It's nice to know my subconscious is thinking about the three of them. :)
