Gone again...
Jan. 14th, 2006 10:56 pmGod, I can't believe I'm going to leave in a couple of hours... I don't wanna leave though! It'll be so long until I'm back home (May! God, it's going to go by so fast and yet it'll still seem like an eternity away) and my family wouldn't have probably migrated to the new house by then...
Flying home is so much better than flying away from home. I'm going to miss Hood River, even with all its rain this winter. It's been a good three weeks -- sushi, movies, new house and fast internet, furniture shopping, cooked meals that actually taste good, loafing around, sleeping...
Once I'm back in New York, I know I'm just going to deflate and go, "Damn, I'm back in New York" because New York really isn't the most beautiful place you can live. I would much rather prefer Hood River and it's views of mountains, hills, the river and breathing in air that's actually clean... And the luxury of not having to carry around an umbrella when it rains and not having to walk in the rain to places we need to get to. *sigh* I'm going to miss Hood River... By the time I'm back here, it'll be spring, almost summer... My brother will not be out of school, neither will my sister. My oldest maternal uncle and aunt won't be back until the end of May but it doesn't matter because we'll be at the new house by then.
*sigh* Here's to hoping for a good semester. I wish for a good semester. I wish for a good semester. I wish for a good semester. *crosses fingers*
