My next Sounds paper has us trace our music and see who owns it and how capitalism plays a part in music making.
I am so tempted to do a song from a Johnny's group... Like Seishun Amigo from Shuuji to Akira. Tell me that isn't the best song to use for this project.
But this is still a reputable essay and I need reputable sources. Who owns the song? Well, it's copyrighted by Johnny's Entertainment Inc. And does Jasrac count? Who makes the CDs? What can be said about doing variety shows, dramas, the fact that Shuji to Akira is made up of two people from two different groups? That they're both in Nobuta wo Produce and that this song is the theme to Nobuta? Saaa... I think a three page essay on this would be perfect. Now if only I can get some concrete information about Johnny's.... :\ Somehow I think ProQuest or STOR will not be as big of a help on this essay as it was for the last... Well, then, I guess I'll have to base use sources as part of my analysis, rather than the foundation of facts in my essay... I usually like both but I don't know what else to do...
