Law of Ueki

There has to be a reason why there are so many episodes of this anime out, right? And the fact that it has a ton of my favorite prolific seiyuus? It's crazy how many of them are out there. And they have Koyasu Takehito, Hayami Sho, Miki Shinichiro! Not to mention Kappei Yamaguchi, Ishida Akira and Kouki Miyata! So many great voices...

So I'm starting to watch this again... It didn't turn out so well last time, with only a lukewarm interest in it, but hopefully it'll be more interesting this time around with a renewed interest in the voice actors...

Well, I've already watched five more episodes tonight and it's almost 4:30 AM so I think I'm going to finish this one episode and then go to sleep.

edit x1: Okay, obviously I have no self-control at all and will probably sleep around 5 AM now. ^^;;;

Why am I don't know this?!

When I first heard the new OP for Eyeshield, I thought, wow, they sound really good -- almost like a Johnnys group because they have the Johnny sound.

Well, don't it beat it all that 20th Century and Coming Century (which also did the first OP for Eyeshield) were actually v6!

Why don't I know all these little trivia pieces about Johnnys? I feel like such an idiot! God, thinking about it now, Coming Century does sound like a Johnnys group! They all sound like Johnnys! How many other little Johnnys groups are hiding out there that I've heard, thought were like Johnnys and never knew they were?

Well, obviously, I know nothing about v6. *sigh*

I'm still shocked. I hate this feeling that I'm just the most ignorant Johnnys fan out there... I don't even think I can be called a Johnnys fan if I don't even know stuff like this... :(

But never mind that... Right now, it's 5:30 AM and I guess I really must go to sleep, ne? I watched episodes 5-12 of Ueki so I feel good about last night... Damn it. Spring Break is almost over and I'm already missing it.. :(

A bit about Law of Ueki again

Well, I don't know if I'm just desperate but I'm getting more and more into the Law of Ueki. I think it's partly because I've thrown away my earlier biases about it (though I still stand by the fact that this reminds me a lot of Pokemon) and have opened my mind a bit more about liking it.

So now I'm about thirty episodes behind the latest release so I'm desperately trying to play catch up. I really wish I had thought about this earlier in the week (god, tomorrow is the last day of break, no, no, no, I don't want it to end!!!) so I would have had more time to enjoy it all.

Anyway, I'm watching the Law of Ueki tonight and possibly tomorrow.

Now for a change of topic because I have nothing more to say about Ueki aside from the fact that I'm finally liking Ueki as a character more. After what happened with Kobasen (they really love to shorten things in this anime, don't they?), he grew a character and I adore any sort of character development like that so I just gobbled it all.

Last night, ames_909 uploaded a bunch of English songs, of which I have to thank her dearly for even though they weren't uploaded for me. Still, she posted it to her entire flist and allowed them a chance to download them, something I really admire. :)

Anyway, there was one song by The All-American Rejects and it reminded me how much I adore their sound and how I didn't have Dirty Little Secret (whose music video I absolutely adore) so I went and downloaded Move Along. It was surprisingly easy to find (love love BT!) but I was a bit wary of downloading it because of obvious reasons. Still, I decided to throw caution to the wind and get it because I really did want Dirty Little Secret. And now I have it and I'm happy. :)

It's a pretty good album and I'm certainly satisfied.

Lately, I've been downloading songs like crazy, most from Johnnys groups. My collection of Tackey & Tsubasa (though I claim to adore them), is sadly lacking, as is my collection of v6 songs. I have no desire to get more KinKi Kids, even though I have a good collection of their music, of which why I have no idea because they're possibly my least favorite Johnnys group.

And also last night I downloaded a Lucifer PV! And I have another hopefully finishing within the hour, but if not, at least today, I hope... They're just so cool! I love their songs (which scarily reminded me of Kimeru last night but that might be my sleep deprived mind playing tricks on me), I love their sound, and I love the way they look. They're just a cool band, you know?

Oh! Apparently I have more to say about Ueki after all. Well, last night I watched episodes 5-12, which to me is a lot, especially since I started watching rather late. As a consequence, I went to sleep around 5:30 AM, which was dawn -- I could see it through the bottom of my blinds. :\

Anyway, Xiao was what I think pretty inconsiderate last night. I had written about her tapping before and how it annoyed me and what did she do as I had turned into go to sleep? She started tapping. Loudly too! I was like, "WTF?" I mean, you'd think there'd be some consideration for your roommate, of which is trying to SLEEP. I always make it a point not to make loud noises when she sleeps first... :(

And it was especially annoying because I know her regular taps and these were louder because she wasn't tapping her foot on the floor but rather on the side of her chair and she was using a bit more force than usual.

And I tried to block it out by shifting and pulling the covers over my ears and when she heard me moving, she would stop for a moment but then not even a minute later, she would start up again. I was pretty pissed off and thought about asking her to pause her tapping until I was asleep (even though I am a pretty light sleeper, I'm sure if I feel asleep while I was that tired, I'd be out and not even tapping could wake me) but in the end I just let it go...

God, I hate it when I'm just too scared to confront other people... :(
