I'm such a geek
Jun. 9th, 2006 12:26 amI hear a song on the radio or on TV or anywhere, I just have to run to find a pen or pencil to jot down the lyrics so I can google them later and then download them. My latest find? The Thirteen Senses' Do No Wrong. It was used in Without a Trace and I've been sorta kinda getting into the show since it's on for like four hours each day on TNT.
So I wasn't able to find it on Kazaa so I resorted to a websearch for the mp3. No such luck. But then I went to TorrentSpy.com and they did not fail me! They had the entire album with the song Do No Wrong on it. Of course, I went immediately to Do No Wrong and made that a higher priority to download first so now I'm enjoying it. It's such a beautiful song. I heard the lyrics "Common sense protects us / Everything affects us / To the outside light it's paradise / To the outside light it's paradise" and I just died because it was just so wonderful. It reminded me so much of that Steve Conte song from the second OST to Wolf's Rain -- it even sounds remotely like it. Remotely. I don't have the rest of the tracks yet, but I'm looking forward to discovering a new group! I hear they're British which makes me doubly interested. The inner Anglophile never goes away, you know. :)
God, I'm so sniffily right now. My eyes are so dry and they hurt and half the time they're tearing up and the other half they're so itchy, I could just claw them out. I wanna sneeze, and I have already many times in a row but I'm still feeling a bit sneezy. Maybe my mother is right -- maybe it's time to go to the drugs. This is hell and if it could be a little bit better... That would be pretty nice. But really, I hate the thought of me and medication... What if I'm allergic to them? What if I break out? I'm already allergic to most of the common meds out there, I don't wanna find more that I can't take. :(
Ah, well, I'll deal with it later. My allergies always get worse later in the summer so we'll see how much suffering I'll have to endure before I cave.
The final episode of Yakitate Japan was released tonight and I'm currently downloading it. Man, I'm going to miss this, especially since SnoopyCool may or may not have dropped the scanlations, especially since they're certainly not keeping up with the releases either way. And the last few episodes have been a bit crappy... I want my resolution and I hope it'll be a good one. They never did reveal the St. Pierre guy was the guy that got Azuma into baking after all and I'd always wanted to have that out there by the end....
Oh, damn. My mother just called me on my cell and it was all the way in my room so I ran to answer it and I tripped over my Eroica manga! :( Now it has a major crease in it! Well, I guess it's not too bad since I only paid $1.50 for it but still... :( I hate hurting books! They're such precious little things, to be creased like that... God, it hurts my booklover soul to know that I've done something like that and it's still there, all hurt all because of me... :(
