Groceries!
Sep. 17th, 2006 03:47 pmI bought groceries yesterday! The total was just over $12 which is surprising since I bought a pound of carrots, five pounds of potatoes, five pounds of onions (hey, they last long!), another pound of green peppers and mushrooms, a pack of chicken cutlets, a huge loaf of bread that will probably go moldy before I eat it all...and a pack of luncheon meat. Now, I'll have to find some way to eat it all... ^^
Made curry last night as well Yummy! I had too much so I'm going to reheat some for today's lunch, albeit a very late lunch. That's what I get for sleeping until almost 3 PM... ^^;;;
So today I get to do Genetics homework. What my professor assigned? All her instructions were "all of Chapter 2 problems." *dies* That's like six pages not counting back and front of problems. All sixty of them. *laughs* I guess I should have started on them earlier and not have been in a McShep high for the last week...
I haven't talked about it before (was in a complete McShep haze literally the entire week) but I've fallen in love with the McKay/Sheppard pairing of SGA. I had been avoiding the show for a while now but I suddenly decided to download them all (all episodes released to now currently) and watch them. And then I found the fanfiction and I fell in love with McKay and... Yeah, I'm besotted. There are just so many good stories and so many well-written ones that tug at your heart and make you go "aww" and it's like...I'm in heaven. Anime fanfics are nice but there's just a different vibe while reading something based on a TV show. I had forgotten how much adored it when I lost myself in anime and manga.
So anyway, despite every fiber of my being wanting me to read more McShep stories, I'm going to do my Genetics homework. And work away at my Physics ones. Tomorrow, I'm planning on staying on campus for a couple of hours and just chug away at the work. I'll be missing dinner which makes me anxious but I will probably grab something there... I've been too into this McShep fandom that I've been neglecting my schoolwork for a whole week and considering the fact that that's bad (very very bad because a week of homework is a ton of work) so I have to chug away at it before I'm overtaken...
Right now I'm adoring Cartel's newest CD (or is it their first? I don't know). I heard "Honestly" on MTV and decided I must have it. And now that I have the entire album, I've decided that I just adore "The Minstrel's Prayer"... It's just so powerful and so different from the other songs... "A" is also an amazing good (although incredibly long) song from it too... When I first listened to it, I wasn't too into it but now that I've plugged my headphones on, my feelings on it changes completely... It's like once I have my headphones on, I've created my own little world where there's just me and my music... It centers me and all there is is just the sound of the song and I'm able to appreciate it just so much more. It's absolutely amazing.
Okay, I'm going to eat and then to my homework... It's been over an hour since I've been awake and all I've done is four problems... *winces* So many more to go.... :(
