I got selected for round four!!!
Dec. 1st, 2008 02:57 amGod, why couldn't you have chosen me for round three? Or round six? That 46" LDC HDTV would have been awesome! And the mixer in the last found...
Anyway, this is all about the Amazon Customer's Vote event that they do every year around this time. Out of the six rounds, I got chosen for the fourth round, the one with the N-series phone (should I really drop $300 on a new phone already?!), the really cheap laptop and the flip video camcorder thing. The only one I really would like is the phone. It's the one I voted for and I've always wanted one of the N-series Nokia phones... It's so pretty... But so expensive! I'm not even sure it would be worth it to buy it at the cheaper price and then sell it back... It's really only going for about $100 less than it's normal price on Amazon. I want it but I don't think I can afford it. :(
Seriously, the only ones that really piqued my interest was the TV one because I knew if I got in that round, my mother would so want the TV and the last round with the mixer because, oh my god, that Kitchenaid Mixer looks so good... The things I could make with it... I mean my mother's old Kitchenaid works perfectly still even though it's been over a decade since we bought it (made my cheesecake and pies in it last week!) but this new one is sleeker! Prettier! And cheaper! Gah, that's what I really wanted...
I don't know what I'm going to do. I mean, the fact that I got chosen seems pretty cool enough but to not do anything about it (the items this round are kinda meh) seems to be a waste... *sigh*
I don't need any of them and while I would want the phone, I just recently got a new phone and I'm not exactly willing to drop another $300 on another on, despite being as cool as it is. I salivated over that phone in NYC with their damn ads everywhere I look but it's just too much. It would have been better at the winning price but the runner-up price just doesn't seem worth it to me... Oh well, I have until 6:30 AM on the 2nd to decide so I'll sleep on it. And talk to Kent about it since he's kinda the expert on these things...
Seriously, why couldn't I have selected for the round that's going on today? 42" Samsung LCD 1080p HDTV!!! At less than $700! Oh, that hurts... That TV would look so good upstairs where our 32" sits now... My mother's been complaining that it's too small and wanted to buy a bigger one for it. And a huge one (50"+) for downstairs so the one we have now would probably be moved into their bedroom. It would have worked out so well... :( I think that out of everything that's being offered, that TV was probably the only realistic one that would have been purchased. Though it'll be unlikely that i'll get chosen for the mixer round, even if I did, there would be no point in buying it since we already have one that works... *sigh* But I could still dream of it and me and homemade pastas, sausages and ice cream...
