Dec. 26th, 2009 05:15 amOh my god, me singing the Jackson 5's ABC in Band Hero was probably the most hilarious fun I've had in years.
It was just so spectacularly bad that we were literally rolling on the floor laughing. Kent collapsed from playing the drums because all I could read from the lyrics was "ooh, ahh, baby, and easy" and add them together and it sounded very strange... I was already laughing at how hilariously bad I was doing and Diana was giggling on the guitar as well so it just ended right there. I couldn't hold it in any longer so I went down too and then we were all on the ground laughing from the sheer hilarity of the whole thing.
I haven't laughed that hard since I don't know when... I couldn't breathe, my throat still aches from it and every time I got a semblance of a hold on myself, one of them would start laughing again and that would set me off. Oh, my god, I was about ready to pass out from the laughing. Not to mention I was dying from the tears in my eyes.
I'm sure it wouldn't have been half as funny if it weren't really late at night and we were all sleep deprived... We did dim sum again in Portland today, David left us (T_T and before we could do a four player Agricola too! Double T_T) after that and we did a bit of food shopping. And then we came home and we tried to play Agricola, the family version. That was...informative but not that much fun. And the strategy part of it seems to be harder to suss out...
We then tried again afterward with the Easy deck of cards and it went a bit longer but went a bit more insane. Feeding people became much harder, I was finding it very hard to do what I needed to do. At the end, we all felt like there aren't enough rounds to accomplish what we need to do... I mean, is it typical to be losing so many points every single game? *sigh* I think I need more practice at this game to get good and to finally have an "a-ha" moment where it makes sense but it's going to be hard to convince people to play with me. I can tell Kent is less than impressed with the game. At this point, I think he likes Power Grid more than it and he's always thought of Power Grid being more than a little dry (I personally like it even if I'm not all that good at it).
Well, there's always tomorrow. So many games this Christmas...So little time...
