I was reading Misconceptions -- well, rereading it since I seem to go through periods where I want to read this story once or twice a year -- and I could have sworn there was a mention of liquamen in it. In fact, that's where I'm pretty sure I learned of liquamen but for some reason, the whole exchange between Duncan and Methos, and the later one with Duncan and Julian were gone. Instead, I think in its place is garlic.
I could be imagining it but I get the feeling I'm not... Plus, I have this distinct memory in my head of Duncan wondering what liquamen is and Julian was able to tell what dish it was and how it would be impossible to duplicate because no one had been able to recreate the sauce in ages.
It's times like these that I wonder if it's wrong to know a story to that degree or if I'm making it all up and I'm completely insane for doing so and for believing in it so thoroughly. Oh silly me, thinking about things that are completely random and pointless...
...although, it bugs me enough that I want to go and dig out my original copy of Misconceptions since I saved every piece of good fanfic I read back then and just make sure...
