Anime and DW Talk

Gah, I hate the opening theme song to the fourth season of Major. Thank god I only have to suffer through this for one more episode...

But I'm surprised at how into this show I am. I was a huge fan of the earlier seasons but somehow, my interest in anime waned in 2008 and I got about a third of the way into the season and lost interest. But I always kept those episodes on my external hard drive for that mythical day that I thought I might come back to it.

And seriously, I never thought I would. But I seem to be getting back into anime after such a long absence... Maybe it was Nodame that spurred me back into but I find myself wanting to get back into the game. And what's better than one of my most favorite sports animes? I do love a good sports anime.

And there's Ookiku Furikabutte! I had no idea they were doing another season! Which is good because I always thought the last season kinda ended at an awkward place. And then there was nothing for the next two years... Weird, I know, but when people started mentioning they've been seeing Ookiku Furikabutte posters in Japan, I was surprised. And happy because I definitely wanted to see more of the show and never really got the ending that I wanted. Or really, an ending that felt like an ending, which would have been nice. At the very least anyway.

I've also steamrolled through K-ON! and am caught up on K-ON!! It doesn't seem to have much in the way of a plot or character development and seems to be made up of only happy things but it's not horrible. After this, I'm going to try Angel Beats since there has to be a reason why so many people would be downloading it... And maybe I'll work on Bleach. But gah, there's so much that I've missed...it makes me not want to start watching it again at all... Or One Piece but frankly, I've never really liked the anime as much as I liked the manga so maybe I'll work on catching up on that instead. It certainly makes me not want to kill myself before I attempt it which is what thoughts of both those animes kinda makes me want to do.

And yay, Doctor Who today! In a few hours! ^^

I'm still not convinced the 11th Doctor is as awesome as the 10th (David Tennant is my god!) and while I do kinda like Matt (he is very cute and very young), he doesn't seem to have the same sort of power and darkness that David brought to the Doctor. I get scared when David does his pissed off Doctor -- not so much when it's Matt. I just don't think he does angst all that well. But still, new DW gets me excited. I promises to be a very interesting season so I'm hoping for the best.

edit x1: Goro and Toshiya together makes me squee so much! It's like "kya, kya, kya!!" all the time in my room... My neighbors probably think something weird is going on... ^^;;;

Major!

Season 5 of Major is AWESOME! It's finally found its stride again!

And I've renewed my love for Toshiya. Oh, my god, I am crushing on him so hard now... My excessive fangirling and squeeing has actually made me a bit sick to my stomach... I'm out of breath, a little nauseated and yet I feel more excited than ever.

And why hasn't there been any fanfic for Goro/Toshi? They seem like the perfect pairing, the one that makes absolute sense and yet there isn't any fic at all... So far, I've found one and it sucked...It wasn't even a fanfic but really a synopsis of something they wanted to write as a fic. :( I want to read about Goro and Toshi! The calm but sensitive Toshi who is prone to letting his failures make him lose his composure but manages to achieve a sense of calmness when he's playing with Goro... Goro who is so brash and uncouth but still allows his catcher to lead him to a win... They are the perfect battery and god, I've been waiting for this for seemingly forever. We got that short time when they were both in Kaido but that's it... They've never really played together all that much but they still work so well. Childhood friends, friendly rivals, they make each other do better when they're playing together.

I feel so in love... I'm lightheaded because of it...
