Apr. 27th, 2010 03:36 pmI am staying Zyrtec free today and already I feel like shit.
But since the last couple days I've been taking it, I've almost always been knocked out within an hour or two of taking it. It probably doesn't help but I've been feeling awfully tired as well -- allergies again, playing their tricks on me. I find it terribly ironic that my allergies make me feel horrible and make it hard for me to get a restful night's sleep which end up making me sleepy and tired. And to top it all off, I take medicine for the symptoms, and medicine that's supposedly non-drowsy for that matter which end up making me sleep because I'm already tired anyway.
Anyway, despite the horrible sleep last night due to the fact that I woke up four or five times during the night, I did end up having four or five very nice dreams so I guess that helps. One was oddly like a TVB drama, one of those long epic ones that span several generations over a hundred years of a particular family. It didn't end well. But was kinda cool. Another was about the daughter of a genius and a very powerful, very rich man who apparently has a very diverse portfolio. And she was chubby but she was one of those people who didn't really care about that fact so it was extremely refreshing. That dream quickly descended into a 90210-esque dream that wasn't quite horrible but there wasn't any depth to it either.
So, I digress. Today, allergy medicine free. And hopefully I'll be able to stay awake. If it works, I'll have to seriously reconsider taking them in the future -- seriously what is the point of alleviating my allergy symptoms if I'm asleep? A better sleep? Maybe I should take it before I go to bed each day and not during the actual day... Anyway, if it doesn't make me sleepy, well, it's probably some other reason then and I'll be back at the drawing board. But I doubt it's not related to my allergies since it started at the same time.
