Found the lost FMA CDs! They were at the apartment -- apparently left there accidentally probably years ago. >_>

And apparently there were also Whistle CDs (and a show called Beautiful Life that I really don't remember -- was it an anime? Jdrama? Kdrama? I'll have to find out later). Which had the episodes that are on a Whistle DVD. I was wondering why there was one DVD and a bunch of CDs to go after it. I think I probably lost Whistle, redownloaded and then burned it onto a DVD...

Still no word on the Dear Boys CDs. They were in the closet. Haven't checked the garage but since my redownload of them finished, I probably won't... I'm watching it now -- gah, the Eurobeat songs used are still awesome! The artwork, still amazing bad at points. And the oddly chosen moments they decided to CGI are still very much odd and out of place. *shrugs* But it almost feels like the first time I watched it so I'm still enjoying it lots. Although, I do hate how it makes you fall in love with a particular obscure Eurobeat song that you have no hope of EVER finding an mp3 of. They might be on those Super Eurobeat compilations but with literally hundreds of them, I really can't go through them all trying to find a handful of songs...

Plans to maybe vacuum tonight feel through so it's been put off until tomorrow. My pillows were washed but the stains were too stubborn and aren't all out... :( I think I need to soak them in something heavy duty... And I suspect they aren't too dry despite my drying them for like an hour in the dryer. Oh well, I'll put it out in the sun tomorrow and hopefully they'll be dry by the end of the day.

Just finished watching the opening ceremonies for the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai, China.

I want that hour of my life back.

What I got from it? Chinese people really love using kids, lots and lots of young, cute, and small little children. I wonder what they're trying to say about it? They even got survivors from the Tibet earthquake to parade around (they did not look very happy to be there). And they still love the color red. And gold. And fireworks. Lots and lots of fireworks.

I wanted to kill myself for a while there during the way too long and way too excessive fireworks display. God, I get it. China has awesome fireworks! I think the world realized that during the 2008 Olympics. And the music they used during the outside portion was so classical... I was so happy to get something modern at the end of it that when the classical started merging with it, I was like, go, modern music, go, don't let the bad classical music take you over!

Since I only saw the last hour or so of it, I probably missed the good performances... Which might have raised my interest in it because light and water shows aren't exactly my thing. Especially when set to classical music. And since we were watching a streaming live feed from some Chinese network, it was all in Mandarin so I didn't understand a damn thing. I should have just used the time to watch more Dear Boys...or sleep since it's like 7:30 AM now... Gah, I'm tired.

Okay, sleep now.

LOL, TheBox is apparently banning a whole slew of BT clients and reading the forum posts on this thing makes it seem like something worthy of a post on FandomWank. I feel like I'm actually watching it play out instead of coming to the party later on to read the descriptions of what happened.

Now I'm just watching to see how it plays out but what I got from it is that when an administrating body that is authoritative in nature decides to implement a change that the majority of its users dislike, they all get snarky and mean. And refuse to answer questions. And then users get even more snarky and mean and it all descends to "take it or leave it" which it was before all this happened anyway.

The main issue is downgrading, which understandably people don't want to do. And it has to do with banning all clients that they have not expressly approved, even if they haven't gone through the process of screening it to find it unacceptable. It affects me since I use an apparently banned version of uTorrent and need to downgrade. I won't. But that's because I don't really use TheBox all that much anymore. There are seriously not that many British TV shows I watch that I can't get elsewhere so I have my decent ratio, my small uploaded/downloaded numbers and I'm going to keep it like that for a while. It's not like it'll make a dent over there since I'm not downloading or seeding anything...

In the end, I'm just going to stay out of this. Saying anything would just be stupid, especially when dealing with the almighty mod species. One thing I will say about this is that it's absolutely alarming how Azureus/Vuze is getting attacked by pretty much all the private trackers. Some are saying they're going to ban that program altogether. As someone who used to use it, I find it very alarming. Seriously, is it that bad in recording your ratio properly?
