May. 20th, 2010 03:39 pmFor the second time in two days, I haven't been sleeping all that well... I wonder why?
I mean, I have these awesome dreams (last night was ID related! ^^) and I feel like I've been asleep for a long, long time so when I wake up, I'm shocked that it's only been a couple of hours since I fell asleep. And since it's only been a couple of hours, I'm, of course, tired as hell, so I go back to sleep. I mean, it's still early after all.
So, continuing on my ID binge, today, I'm watching the live action movie. Yeah, that weird one where they decided to cast actors from Taiwan, HK and Japan and have it be in three different (at least?) languages. I really want to know who the hell though that was a good idea. I never kept my old copy so I had to redownload it. And the first one I got was completely dubbed in Mandarin. Ugh, no. I rather have the original voices in several different languages than that. Especially since my beloved Edison Chen is playing Ryosuke and he speaks Cantonese -- I want to hear his voice at the very least and somewhat understand it without subtitles.
My second download of the movie is a bit better, since it's entirely in Cantonese. Well, I'm not sure I'm going to find any version of this movie without dubs... And at least it's Cantonese, right? I'm still not completely happy though... :\
The first time I watched it, I remember thinking I wish it was entirely Japanese and that they didn't mess with the story (no Keisuke? Merging characters? NOT COOL.) and it didn't leave a favorable impression on me but hopefully I'm a bit more open minded this time.
Yeah, I'm still probably going to be critical.
