Damn, South Korea was eliminated. :(

I knew this was going to happen and when Uruguay scored like in the seventh (eighth?) minute, I thought maybe they wouldn't be able to do it this time... Especially since they didn't seem to be handling the ball all that well or dominantly controlling it...even if they did basically had possession of it more than Uruguay... They were also surprisingly physical, which surprised me.

But they ended up scoring! Unlike the American game, I never felt like South Korea were eventually going to score but in the end, they did tie it up. And I knew it would be bad after that... Uruguay who seemed to be taking it easy with their lead jumped back into the front seat and they ended up scoring again. :(

Now, all I have left is Japan. Who plays Paraguay who are probably equally as difficult. And they'll probably lose. Gah. Not cool.

But the USA v. Ghana match, in two hours! I should probably sleep... I only slept about two and half hours before waking up for this match... I'm feeling really awake but I'll probably feel like shit if I stay awake up through the USA match... *sigh*

Hopefully we'll be able to get through this and then I can have the US deliver some payback to Uruguay for knocking South Korea out.

Gah, I really don't want to see Japan lose to Paraguay... :( Especially since I think they play a really beautiful game -- that last win against Denmark was amazing and masterful and it made me love them so much more. Plus, I wanna bask in the brilliance of Keisuke Honda some more. Even if he is married already.

Ugh, the US is out too. To Ghana. Again. With the same damn score.

I think I hate Ghana enough that I'm hoping Uruguay will crush them next round.

Now all I have left are the Blue Samurai. After that, I assume I'm going to lose absolute interest in the World Cup and Soccer for the next four years. Most likely. But I still think the Japanese team this year is really good and that they still have a shot to beat Paraguay. And I'll definitely be watching it, even if I have to wake up at 7 AM on Tuesday to do so. Ugh, another 7 AM match... Rough... And I have to wait so long too... :(

Man, today was just a bad day in soccer for me... My brother is absolutely crushed -- he's playing the FIFA World Cup video game as the US against Ghana on the easiest level so he could score 10 goals on them as revenge. Poor Kent...
