Aug. 10th, 2010 08:00 pmOh a whim today, I went and checked how much hard drive space my manga was taking up because for some reason, no matter how many shows I watch and delete, I wasn't freeing up much space.
In the end, it was around 31 GB.
31 GB.
O.O
MY GOD, 31 GB?!
Since when did I get that much manga?! When did I download that much manga?!
Damn, I have to go on a save and purge now. This is completely unacceptable. At the very least, I want to trim off 15 GB. At the very least. The finished stuff that I won't ever read again, the yaoi and shoujo oneshots that didn't make an impression on me... There must be at least 15 GB worth of stuff that I can get rid of!
But damn, this is going to take a while... :\ There goes my night...
edit x1: Finished works have been moved and deleted! That netted me about 7 GB worth of free space so I guess I can say I'm about half way finished? :\ The long shounen manga I've been reading are really killing me though...
Okay, onto the hard stuff -- the oneshots! Here I go! ^^
edit x2: Fail. Absolute failure.
I guess there was a reason why I had kept these oneshots? It's because they're really good! :( I was only able to delete another 200 MBs... :(
I have yet to go through my yaoi stuff yet where the bulk of the memory is at (about 7 GB) but somehow I don't think I'll be able to delete much of it... Fail... Maybe I should go and read FMA (finally) and get rid of that? But that's only another GB of data... *sigh* :\ This is annoying. I'm reading way too many long shounen series... You add them all together and it gets to be a large amount of data! And there are some that I still haven't catch up in reading (like One Piece, the forementioned FMA, Bleach, even Yakitate!! Japan!) that are dead weight right now... :\
Oh well, somehow I delete some of it. Or at the very least organize it so it's functional and neat...
edit x3: Well, everything is nicely sorted by mangaka now... I was only able to delete yet another 200 MB but at least it was something... :\ I guess 23 GB isn't that horrible? Ugh, no, it's still pretty bad...
