Jan. 12th, 2011 04:42 pmUgh, I feel sick from too much congee... And my tongue is burnt because it was really hot... But damn, was it good and did it hit the spot... I feel pretty crappy right now but somehow, I kinda wish I were eating more of it. :(
Okay, off to shovel the snow from the driveway so I can get out of the garage. Yay, shoveling snow in the rain... Can't I just wait until the rain melts it all?
edit x1: Well, I am completely and totally drenched. It was like God was laughing at me because as I was shoveling, the rain that was falling suddenly got harder and harder. I have such a headache from being soaked and cold now... And I'm sure tomorrow I'll be sore -- I can already feel it in my hips. Not only that, I got lazy because it was wet and cold and raining... I only did half of the driveway (we have a double garage but only one half is used) so the car can get out and I did a walkway from the porch to the street... Didn't do the sidewalks and only did a path up the porch steps instead of all of it... I'm cold and wet and it was raining surprisingly hard -- what else was I going to do? Maybe if it lets up, I'll finish it off tomorrow but I think we're supposed to get a week of rain... But if that happens, maybe that will do my job for me and I won't have to shovel any more?
Still, I did bring this on myself with my constant snow chants and my snow wishing... The only time I kinda regret it is when I'm shoveling snow but even shoveling snow in the rain isn't enough to make me turn away from my love of snow. I still wish it were snowing... I would have definitely continued on shoveling if it were and it would be a hell of a lot better than all this rain we're getting.
