Wow, kids who love to read can really rake it in this summer! http://freebies.about.com/od/familyfreestuff/tp/summer-reading.htm

I mean, wow. Gift cards? Money? Free books?

Damn, when I was a kid, the only summer reading program was at my local library and all we got were stupid stuff like T-shirts and plastic cups. Sure, I got every prize one could ever get (I was a voracious reader), but nothing ever that cool. I think I got a coupon for a free burger once and I considered that pretty good.

Now with the internet, and I guess kids reading less than they did even back in my day, the incentives to read when school is out are higher than ever. But it really makes me wish I was a kid in this age again. I mean, I always want to go back to my childhood but stuff like this makes me really wish it. Being a kid now seems so much cooler than when I was actually a kid. I wonder if it's like that for every generation?

Okay, I seriously, seriously can't be the only one who sees the sparks between Louis and Harvey on Suits. They light up like fireworks.

But from what I've seen, the fandom seems to be all about Harvey and Mike, and yeah, okay, I see it, but to me it's always been more of a mentor/student sort of relationship or a kind of a father/son (brother/brother?) one and mixing it with slash makes me uneasy. That, and Mike is boring. Sure he's a bit sassy and he's too smart for his own good but he's so good and boring.

Whereas Harvey is all kinds of fun and Louis is a dick but a sensitive type of dick, my favorite type of dick.

Plus, the relationship between Harvey and Louis seems so much more interesting... Why, why aren't there fic of the two of them that doesn't involve Harvey humiliating the shit out of Louis in some sadistic way? *sigh*
