Dec. 6th, 2012 04:43 amI realize I'm a bit late to the game but I just saw Pitch Perfect and it was as awesome as I thought it would be!
I had wanted to watch it when it first came out but it started off as a limited run and then it got picked up nationwide and I live in a small town. We only have two movie theaters, both owned by the same guy and he picks all the movies he wants in his theaters. I don't actually watch that many movies when they come out in the theaters (I'm that girl who most likely would download a bootleg cam version of it) but I thought about it with Pitch Perfect... But by the time I realized he actually had Pitch Perfect in his theater, it was too late and he had already pulled it for some stupid kids movie. :\ I guess it didn't generate much money for him.
So I've been waiting all this time for it come out on DVD... And now that it has, I have finally watched it! And it was good! So good! I love a cappella music so chances were that I would like it... And was it just me or are the Treble Makers a lot like the University of Oregon's On the Rocks? If there's any sort of description that could describe them (both of them), it's a singing fraternity. I refuse to believe the Treble Makers weren't based in some part by them since I think even some of their songs are similar...
But about the movie in general, when I was watching it, I couldn't help but wish Glee would take a page out of their book... This is how a humorous musical story should be told and Glee would do well to emulate Pitch Perfect...
