Stuff like that happens. And who knows, it might not be the kid's fault. Oftentimes it's leaked into extended family circles, and an unrelated family member often becomes a victim or a hostage (I watch too much Discovery Channel). It's sad.
I'm frightened for my own cousin. He has a history of dealing pot and being a gang member, but he lives all the way in California. I told him bluntly to never let on that I exist, because I don't want to inadvertantly become a hostage or something.
