Back from the floor meeting

God, that was like the longest floor meeting I have ever had in my life. *dies* My RA was like, "Wow, that took less than an hour! That's unheard of" and all I could think about was how all my other floor meetings were like 15 minutes tops. Most of the time we just got our stickers and that was it...
First thing first. She was late like 15 minutes to her own meeting. She promised us sweets in the form of chocolate chip cookies but all we got was a huge bowl of cheese and just cheese. Apparently the crackers were en route. Yeah.
So she was like, let's all go down to the TV Lounge for our meeting and so we all piled into the elevator to go down to the cellar (floor below the 1st floor). So we get in, the doors close, the elevator goes down one floor, opens up...nobody. So we're like, okay, they probably just got impatient and went down the stairs. We push the button to closed the doors and we go on our merry way. We go down one floor. The door open. Nobody again. Now we're like okay... This continues on and on and on. On two separate floors two people got on our elevator. We were still stopping at every single floor. We had half the floor crammed into the elevator. We had more people come in. It was freaking hot and we were freaking annoyed. I mean we live on the 25th floor. THE 25TH. We didn't know whether or not to be pissed or to laugh it off. I mean 25 floors -- that gets to people, ya know?
One of the people who got on told us that while she was leaving her room, she saw a tall, lanky guy in jeans and a blue T-shirt laughing a lot and pushing the elevator button her floor. And we knew it that rat bastard who did this to us.
Eventually, someone asked if anyone had any good stories. So this one girl on our floor piped up and said she had one. She and her roommates had been wanting to go to iHop in Staten Island for the last two years she was here because they always went to iHop at home. Finally last Monday, she and her friends decides to go since it was free to take the ferry.
So they go, and it was like another half an hour from the ferry to the iHop so they go and they're all excited about finally going to iHop. They get there and it was closed. Then a guy told them that iHop was closed because last night, their cook had been killed. Across the street by a brick so iHop was closed because they didn't have a cook. We all burst out laughing. Apparently the guy was mugged.
Then someone spoke up saying that it's not really that funny of an incident to be laughing at since it was pretty sad. And yeah, it was sad. I mean it's a pretty terrible thing to happen to the guy. But still, a few of us couldn't contain our sniggers. But the story did pass away the time and somehow took our mind off of the fact that we were stopping at every single floor.
So we get down to the cellar and there's another floor having their meeting there. And we were like oh. Our RA wasn't down yet because she had taken the stairs so we had to wait for her to get down. She gets down there and she asked us if we wanted to stay outside in the hallway. We weren't really up for that so she had the bright idea about going outside and having the meeting outside. So we go up the prison stairs to the first floor and we were about to go outside when we found out that we couldn't because not all of us had our IDs.
So we decided to move yet once again to the RAs office. There we proceeded to have our way long floor meeting. That was fun. Not. It was a lot of people in a slightly small room so it started getting hot. I wasn't feeling all too well because I was feeling a bit dizzy and faint... I think I might have poisoned myself with undercooked chicken... ><
Anyway, we finally got our stickers and my RA accidently did mine crooked. :( I hate it when they do that. :(
So now we're back. Yay. All I want to do is go to sleep but I have to wash my hair tonight... *makes face* I'll find someway to occupy my time...
