I don't know how different your water supply system is from ours (a lot, I hope) but brownish water here usually means the supply had been cut off due to some maintenance works and a bit of rust got into water from pipes. In which case I simply leave the water running for 10-15 minutes until the rust clears out of the system and water looks clean again.
