This advice will probably come too late but here is the instruction on what to do upon giving your cell a bath, literally or figuratively (coming from personal experience 'cause I just had to get my mother a new cell after her old one took a dive in a sink):
- turn it off and don't turn it back on, even if it appears to be doing fine
- take out the battery and dry the phone with, say, a hairdryer
- take it to the service center
And don't even think about turning the cell on until you do this - the corrosion will set in and there is high risk of the phone dying completely when it's working.
