Another spy show bites the dust... Poor Undercovers. But I can't say I didn't see it coming. I had hoped JJ Abrams' name alone could have made them last a bit longer but apparently it isn't to be. :(
But even though I was trying really, really hard to like Undercovers (hey, I watched each episode the week it aired which is pretty good considering), I couldn't help but find it a bit boring. My favorite character was their handler from the CIA for god's sake! His deadpanning is absolutely superb. And I have a ridiculous crush on Boris Kodjoe but the chemistry between him and his wife was a little lacking. And their cases are forgettable. So yeah, that's it. I have one more episode of it downloaded (last night's) but like with Caprica, is there a point?
...Maybe just to ogle Boris Kodjoe...
Don't wanna write today... It's only the fourth day but I feel burnt out. But I seem to have won the Word War! Let me tell you, it was completely unexpected -- especially since if you were just taking my progress for Nanowrimo, I had written less yesterday than I had on each of the two previous days. I guess, I was just feeling crappy about my writing yesterday that I didn't think it would amount to much. I actually really didn't want to win it because of that reason... *sigh*
Of course, I feel differently now since I think I've written the best dialogue I've written in a long while yesterday but at the time it was crap. You're not supposed to go back and edit for Nanowrimo but seeing as I was typing it from the handwritten form, it was hard not to change it for the better. And damn, I didn't realize my writing could read that well with a little polish. And it was like the fates aligned for both Nanowrimo and the Word War...
Even though I wrote by hand yesterday, I didn't get home until 12:30 AM and didn't have access to the internet until then. But the Nanowrimo website is an hour off for me because of Daylight Savings so I quickly counted up my word count and typed in my estimated words written for the day for it to count on the day. And I had two and half hours after that to go type it up, change things for it to count for the Word War. I felt bad for not really paying attention to the chat since I was typing like crazy trying to finish. And in the end, I had 3 minutes to spare... o.O It was so serendipitous! Lucky, right?
