sherryillkOkay, a bit more coherent now. I have Silly Love Songs and I'm listening to it on repeat over and over again. Oh my god, I LOVE this song! I love you, Darren! ^^
I actually had it a little while ago but I had to go back and rewatch all the scenes with Blaine in it. And gah, they're going to go slow with Blaine/Kurt, aren't they? If they ever do it... I'm still not too into that pairing (more because of Kurt than anything else) but I'm pragmatic -- if Kurt gets with Blaine then I get more Blaine which means more Darren oogling for me which in my mind is ALWAYS a good thing. So I trying my best to love this pairing. Of course, it doesn't help that most of the fic written is so OOC and full of crack that it makes me want to run far, far away from the pairing. So much of it is so out there...or just is bad.
But after watching tonight's episode, which really delivered by the way, I like this version of Fireworks so much more than the original and if it wasn't for listening to Darren sing "I love you" over and over again, I would probably be listening to that instead, but I digress. What I was trying to say was that after watching tonight's episode, I want to read/sorta write a story where Blaine and Kurt are best friends and keep their relationship painfully platonic, all through high school. They're supportive of each other, they tell each other everything and they just become awesome friends. But underneath all that, there's an undercurrent of pure love, something so easy and so apparent that they don't even think about it all that often because it's just there. Of course, Blaine acknowledges it in the way that he doesn't want to screw it up and Kurt acknowledges it in the way that he doesn't want to screw it up for Blaine and that he thinks Blaine just doesn't want to go that far so he never pushes.
And they go to college, at NYU because then they'll be one of those crazy Tischies I stayed away from and it'll be an eye-opener going from Ohio to NYC and they'll both blossom and bloom and finally get a clue as they see each other going out with different guys (tons of options at NYU!), all the while being awesome while being in NYC. I see it happening, can't you?
God, I love this song... I could just listen to it all night. I'm so happy When I Get You Alone wasn't the only Warblers song in it since I didn't like it and I still am not fond of it... But I get this to love to death so I'm incredibly happy... Thank you! I am loving Darren even more than I thought I would... This actually makes me want to read Blaine/Kurt fics (I just can't write Klaine -- portmanteaus are so...ugh and I'm old school, I like my slash! I think I'm entitled -- I have been reading it for nearly a dozen years now) based on this episode. I mean, there's actual canon material to work with now! It's not just speculation! There might actually be a ring of truth to some of the fics! I mean, Kurt's voice is so unique and if people can even get close to it would be enough since I doubt anyone could capture it entirely... But the other stuff!
I don't think I'm making much sense... What is next week's episode about? Do I have anything (i.e. Darren) to look forward to? Because now, I'm seriously watching for him. And after glutting on this episode, I don't know if I can go back to the requisite song and a scene (if we're lucky)... It would be nice to have a Kurt solo sometime soon though... It's been way too long and even though I'm not his biggest fan, even I'm starting to notice the lack of Kurt music... He's essentially NOT singing seeing as it's basically Darren + Beelzebubs in the Warblers numbers.
