Painful. In all the ways I expected. And in so many more ways that felt like they were digging the dagger in deeper into an already dead body. And it ended surprisingly like I expected.

Ugh, I think ultimately, I didn't like this episode. Which is so hard for me to say because I came into it thinking it could be awesome if it tried but it seemed... I don't know, I've spent the last two weeks being filled with so much talk about how this episode could go down and in the end, it turned out exactly as people guessed it would go down.

The one moment that I loved was when Burt found Blaine in Kurt's bed. Which made me insanely happy but then there was the coffee shop scene. OH MY GOD. AE is going to go crazy with that. The stuff that was coming out of Blaine's mouth -- it's like he was talking to them! And saying everything he knew would make them go insane. And not in a good way. I cringed and winced the entire scene. Seriously, the entire scene was like Kurt talking as if he was a Klaine fan (which he probably was) and Blaine answering with the fears of the gay community. Not only that, but Kurt is also going to piss off the bisexuals and it isn't like there isn't enough biphobia with Klaine and gay fans! The fallout from this... Painful, that's all I can think of when I think of this episode. :\

And the end with Blaine confirming his sexuality with a sober kiss with Rachel? Wow, stereotypical. Or completely predictable. And I think someone (many someones) did predict it. And it was left with just that? A guy is confused, questioning his sexuality and all it takes is just one kiss to turn him back to gayness? I don't know. It did just start with a kiss. But that whole speech Blaine gave was like he was punching Kurt and rubbing his face in it and I know there are a ton of people who are waaay more protective of Kurt than I am, but even I felt like wasn't this enough for Kurt, can we stop hurting him now? To compound it, that talk with his father... Good and bad but I think most high school parents would be concerned if their kid had someone sleep over in their bed whom they are attracted to, regardless of sex. I know my parents (who are uptight Chinese parents which makes it worse) still would rather David not sleep in Diana's bed but just don't say anything about it and they're like practically married.

The comments on [livejournal.com profile] kurt_blaine are locked so I can't even read how they reacted to the scene but I'm guessing it was very bad considering people broke the infamous Rule Two... And AE's recap with comments won't be up for at least hours but I'm guessing tomorrow morning.

Okay, inconsequential thoughts. I like Blaine in his uniform! I like it a lot! And this time it's with the red vest! Me likes even more! I still am loving Kurt's scarf but I wonder if it's regulation Dalton? Colors mostly match after all... And Darren's acting... Ugh, too much with the coffee scene. He sounded like he was going to cry. I've been thinking he's not the best TV actor for a bit now but please, don't make it so blatant. I have a hard time believing in his Blaine sometimes, as much as I like the idea of Blaine. It happened again when Blaine thanked Rachel at the end -- not quite believable to me... Drunk!Blaine however was a lot of fun.

And why did Blaine run away to the restroom after the second kiss? And Rachel was able to meet up with Kurt and Blaine at 3:30? How early does school let out in Ohio anyway? Are we supposed to believe that Dalton and McKinley are both in Lima? And yay, Blaine is mentioned to be Eurasian!

And I think I'm going to read BIOTA inspired fics. I've avoided pretty much all of them thus far because I hate reading fics that later get dashed because of canon. Fics based on spoilers can be incredibly spotty and I like canonic depth to what I read since they make them seem more realistic but I'm kinda scared. This episode had a lot to cringe about, especially in terms of Kurt and Blaine's possible relationship...

But hey, comments should be up now... And I wonder if there will be an extended scenes BIOTA? There were scenes in the previews that didn't make it onto the episode, which is odd...
