Normally, I would root for Andy Murray too! I've been following him for a while now, even before he took over for Tim Henman as the next great British hope to win back Wimbledon but up until now, there hasn't been an Asian guy for me to root for in singles... Not since Chang and his heyday was during my toddler years from what I can recall.
And as I suspected, Nishikori lost in straight sets. From the way he was playing, I kinda figured it. He seemed tired to me, and he wasn't making the most of his chances so I figured it would be an easy sail for Murray. But it's okay, I like him too.
And ouch... That sort of heat with wildfires is certainly something I wouldn't want. Although, Oregon is flooding now too after over a week of snow. It's warming up so all that melting and we're still raining too so I imagine we're going to be even more in trouble as the week goes on. Compared to that, the weather in Melbourne is looking like perfect summer weather so I'm still quite jealous.
