Bah, my freshman year roommate and I were doomed from the start. ^^;; I called her when I found out who she was to talk about what we were bringing, etc... she basically said "I don't intend to bring anything, I don't care who you are, I have no interest in your small talk." --;; Once we actually met, she turned out to be a militant black activist who on her own words had "never really wanted to be friends with a white person" and whose only interests and conversation topics were, um, the plight of the African-American in education today. oO; We managed to live together okay because 1.) we had the nicest room in the dorm and neither of us wanted to move out, and 2.) we were both very neat and polite, so we managed not to annoy the other, even when I would have friends over to watch anime or she would do things like go to Canada for a week and not tell me she was going (witness me debating whether I was supposed to call the police or something if she never came home, lol). However, some of my friends got roommates who did stuff like pee on the carpet at 6am when she was drunk (now THAT would be bad XD;;;;), have sex (in full view) at all hours of the day and not stop when other people came into the room, etc. @_@;;;

Uh, not to scare you or anything. XD;;; But if she turns out to suck, try to switch rooms before things get bad, that way you can enjoy yourself more. But, she might turn out to be really nice/accommadating, too, so even if you don't have much in common you might be okay living together, lol. ^^ Good luck!
