I just got back from the ASB meeting... I'm scared now... The way the talk about the places... Middle of nowhere, evil red clay that won't come out of clothing, working in the rain, PUTTING UP A ROOF, living in a church with one shower (or having to go across the street to shower), sleeping bags...

Danville VA is apparently in Pittsylvania County (what kind of name is that?!) is apparently failing as a town... Tobacco and textiles are leaving, layoffs, big problems.

Lexington sounds like a retreat but they (the people organizing it) say they usually lie about it.

And they all seem to be in the Blue Hills Mountain (?) region... Woodsy, nothing there, ickiness...

I don't really mind all that (although putting up a roof scares the hell of me -- Sherry has realized she really is afraid of heights after years of denying it, I really am... I got queasy on the ferris wheel at Toys R Us for god's sake!), but the whole begging for money from our dorm... I'm the only one of us at Third North so I'll be doing it alone...
