This show is messed up. Very messy, something I really hate having to deal with since it inevitably means lots of emotional roller coasters that go all over the place that I'll have to deal with until we get to a hopefully happy ending.
But I will endeavor to watch this show regardless.
Needless to say, this is basically the Taiwanese take on Slam Dunk with a twist. You have the main character (nicknamed Rukawa Kaede) who is in trying to get to the championship game (basketball) accidently runs over and paralyzes his main rival's sister who was on her way to cello competition. Said girl falls in love with our main character but the main character is already in love with the manager of his basketball team. And said manager is of course being pursued by a rich, handsome young man who plays basketball as well. And the paralyzed sister of the main character's rival (bear with me since I haven't seen enough to know names yet) is also evil as she schemes to break up the main character and the manager, using her brother (main character's rival, nicknamed "Ice Man"). Ice Man is having his own troubles as well since he basically left the championship game to go to his sister in the hospital and thus caused his team to lose.
And Ice Man's coach -- no one is spared in this. Mr. Coach is in the middle of a divorce and because of a deal he's made with his wife, he's lost custody of his son as well since he couldn't win the championship. And also, he's being forced to resign since his team lost. Nice.
So yeah, a lot of unhappiness. Hopefully this will be worth it and people end up happy.
I won't know until I finish downloading it and watching it, AFTER my midterm.
Oh, and I got the topics for my Jap art class midterm essay. *laughs* We'll see how well I can BS in that. But still 8 pages...gah, that's long for a midterm.
Back to bio studying! Yatta! Right.
