sherryillkGah, I'm tired. I finished my resume today and now I have to tackle cover letters. I have to tell myself that this is all worth it and that I will get a job to replace my America Reads on. Although now I don't even know why I should since I get paid more for my AR work and this would just be more hours... *makes a face*
But I've just finished ripping my Kimeru DVD! Yay! My second attempt to rip a DVD is a success! In fact, this time I even managed to rip it as chapters so I'll probably be posting up random chapters once I can get an internet connection fast enough that it won't take me half a day. Which means not until I'm back in the dorms but that's only 10 days away!!!
10 DAYS! I'm not ready to leave yet! :(
I've decided that I want a TV. I didn't have one last year but I would really like one to keep up with CNN and the various shows I'm into... Like the reruns of the Amazing Race on the Game Channel (Chip and Reichen are on it and I ADORE THEM!!! Such a cute guy couple! Thank you for dismantling the gay stereotypes that I thought plagued the world. And they won too so I want to see them win again.) Plus, I'm into Big Brother right now too and I want to see who wins that one too...
Speaking of Big Brother, I can't believe what's happening! Kaysar is so the best player there and they're kicking him out again?! He just came back too!
AMERICA LOVES KAYSAR! He shouldn't have to leave so soon! You meanies! How dare you try to railroad my beloved Kaysar? *pouts*
I NEED to see the end of this show, if only to yell indignantly when someone like Maggie or Jennifer wins the money.
Plus, the US Open starts like the day after we move in. I missed almost ALL the matches last year, I so don't want to this year. Despite AJ's generous offer to let me come over and watch with him (tennis nut too), I can't exactly pop over every day and say, hey, I'm here to watch the match.
So yeah, want a TV. My mom seems okay with it which means she'll pay! ^^ Nice!
Today, I went to Gena's house. It was...not good. Aside from Gena, I didn't really know anyone there. I mean, Bob was there (man, did he get HOT?!) but the other two weren't people I knew... Apparently, we were the people who didn't get the call that the get-together was changed to tomorrow. But we still hung out. They talked about people I didn't know and about school, something I could contribute to, thankfully. I ended up having to beg away though. Bob left, the last person I actually knew besides Gena and it was awkward. I'm not sure if I'll show up tomorrow though...
I'm getting my laptop tomorrow! I'm so excited! It's fixed and back in my hands! Yes! Sherry has to clear all the stuff for next year because everything was starting to get very cluttered. I'm so happy -- I was really missing my manga and music collection.
I've been watching Dae Jang Geum to pass the time. Remember when I said I was into it and then said I wasn't anymore? Now I am again. It's amazing. I got sucked in again when I didn't have my laptop to fill up the time. Now, I have to see the next episode. And the new end theme sung by Bo and that one girl is addicting... I must have the girl version, especially since I'm more fond of that version of it.
After today's episode, there was this MV running of a song by 蔣雅文 and 李逸朗 called "傷對論." It was amazing. It was just so dark yet so inspiring at the same time (lots of "I will face reality head on" and "I will be strong" statements). The MV implied that these two kids were kidnapped by this creepy guy who imprisoned them in cages and forced them to study... And then they grew up and escaped as adults. In a way, it was dark but it was also hopeful. This song is the first Cantonese song in a long time that I've taken a liking to. The darkness appealed me, plus the guy's voice is pretty good.
