Samurai Deeper Kyo and other stuff
Jan. 12th, 2004 08:55 pmLet me first say I'm disappointed by this anime. I feel that if I have to put up with bad subtitling, wrong names, incorrect grammar, tedious fights that always follow the same pattern (bad guy beats the shit out of good guy, good guy almost dies, good guy comes back and kills/spares bad guy) then I should be rewarded with a good ending. That being said:
NADINE YOU BLOODY LIAR!!!
She told me that there was a happy ending. Was there a happy ending? NO!
She told me that both of them were alive at the end. Were they both alive? NO!
And she told me Kyoshiro is very cool. I don't think Kyoshiro had enough screen time to be NOT cool, much less cool.
The ending sucked. Both Kyo and Kyoshiro were separated at the very end, yet both of them still had to fight each other. We didn't find out anything besides how Kyo came to be. Everything else is left in the wind. I'm pissed. Not only that, Kyo or Kyoshiro might be dead. One of them definitely is. I'm not sure which one.
But apparently, whomever it is that is still among the living, Yuya will love and mourn the other. GOD! What is that??? She doesn't even know Kyoshiro to like him! Kyo is different! Why the hell does she get to hog both guys? Hey, share with Sakuya, why don't you? She loves them both too -- and there's two of them! Hey, one for each!
I'm betting Kyoshiro is the one alive. I can't see Kyo selling medicine with Yuya (or putting up with it since it's a memory of Kyoshiro...but then again, how can you be jealous of yourself?). And Kyoshiro definitely loved selling his medicines.
That all affirms that Kyo is the stronger of the two which I think sucks. As much as I've Kyoshiro (you're my baby, luv!), Kyo was definitely the one this anime was centered on and therefore should have come up on top...It would be change of pace from him always coming out on the bottom of Kyoshiro. And Kyo has the most character development.
The way they ended it was all up in the air. You don't know who's alive or who's dead. And I'm still pretty confused. I THINK Hidetada is with that girl who always calls him "sama" since he said that her "body is very important" (child maybe?) and Yukimura and his Ten Sanada Braves are attacking Hidetada and Tokugawa. That's what I think. I'm not sure about anything else.
All in all, this anime, which I had high hopes for, failed. I can't say I hated it (since I really do love Kyo in Kyoshiro's body) but it didn't fill me like Initial D. Now there was a good anime.
Now onto other stuff. Gena on her website apparently made me Student of the Week. I'll quote her paragraph here and will dissimulate it piece by piece (it's only fair since she wrote about me on her bloggy-blog, I get to too!):
I talked to Sherry today online, it was very cool. I highly recommend it. Here are the reasons to like Sherry: She's a fucking genius, yet doesn't think she'll get into NYU, so basically, she's smart like Henry but VERY modest, where as Henry is only a little modest (but why should he be modest? Einstein is his uncle). Another reason is that she made fun of Lisa Model T-Ford* which was very cool AND funny. *Angel informed me that last names were not wise to put on the site, so I've cleverly disguised it. I also have english with Sherry, where I sing this song to her: "Sherry, oooh Sherry baby, Sherry baby, Sherry oh won't you come out tonight...?" --Four Seasons. Sherry doesn't like this song, or me singing, but I think she appreciates being the center of attention for a breif moment, which should really happen more often, cause she says funny things. Such as this: when we all went out to dinner last year with the french club, Andrea, Sherrie, Derek and myself were all sitting at the end of the table. Andrea Derek and I had been monopolizing the conversation, until they brought us the salad, and none of us except Andrea were liking it much, and then Sherry said, "Christ, I feel like I'm eating grass..." It was a good one. Nice one Sherry! Sherry also takes Chinese lessons, and is good at French and Spanish. She speaks four languages...maybe more! She probably speak Swahili and Portuguese behind out backs. I think I've convinced everyone that Sherry is a good one. So, here you go Sherry, I know you'll understand this: Sherry, O xerez e muito bom!
(I don't know if QUOTE html tags will work or not, but I will later and fix if it doesn't.)
(Addendum -- don't know if I spelled that right or not... Anyway, quote tags wouldn't work so now I'm italizing. Hopefully that works. If not then I'm screwed and since I'm already out of time, I'm not going to fix it)
Well. What can I say? It's funny. And I don't mind since I am an attention seeker (dead right Gena! And you say you don't know the real me!).
Nya -- Diana's up. Need to finish later. :( Too bad. I'll loose my train of thought... Will finish later and will put up Math entry from today later on. Ja!
