Gods...

I have loved Snape for a while now. It started off as a love for Draco and then Snape by association.

This fic has been one of the best Snape fics I have ever read:

It's amazing. I was shocked and horrified, I cried on four separate occasions, my heart went out to him. I can't imagine how anyone could have gone through what he had in the story. It's was so sad and yet so good. I'm tearing up right now because of it. God, Snape. God. God. God...

I'd recommend this story to everyone who wants to read a nice story that's really angsty (very much so) with some great storytelling and a good plot. It's just well written. The fic currently has 490 reviews -- can't you all see it's great?

But wow. Try it out. It's not slash related, no pairings at all and Dumbledore. Well, I've always liked Dumbledore but damn, I think the Dumbledore in this fic is the one that everyone has been saying he is in the books. If so, he really is a heartless, conniving bastard. Not totally heartless since he probably feels something (how could he not?!) but to continue what he's doing. Sirius is right in the latest chapter.

Read it. Try to get the chapter about Snape's mother. If you have half a heart, you'll find it absolutely awful. In both definitions of the word.
