I got an A+ on my MolecCell research paper! Yes! I'm so happy about it because I was just so worried about it... My recitation TA had told his sections that it was due on Wednesday but it was really due on Monday and I found out on Monday, three hours before it was due that it was going to be due. And I had a class during those three hours so there was no way I could go back to my dorm and get a copy of it.
So yeah, I freaked badly.
Thankfully, I had uploaded a copy of my first draft to my webpage so I could access it on campus to print in a computer lab. And I never got around to removing it (thank god!). So I turned in my first draft, which was okay in my mind but not terrribly perfect. The second draft was a lot more tighter, made a lot more sense and I'd fixed that one part that my TA wrote that it was sentence without a verb... -_-;;; I'm ashamed to say it but I do have a weird love of fragments and even though I try my hardest to keep them out of my academic papers, sometimes a few slip in.
What really annoyed me was the fact that I had gotten that paper done early too and it would have been ready to turn in if I had known it was due Monday... I remember when I had finished writing it that maybe I should upload it to my webpage now instead of the night before like I always do. After I learned that it was due two days earlier than I thought it would be, I could have kicked myself.
But it was okay! I still got an amazing grade on it! I'm shocked! I told myself, because I knew it was not quite finished, that I would hope for a B but an A+ is amazing. I'm so happy! ^^ It's only 5% of the total grade but it wasn't even revised and I still was able to get a good grade on it. :) I love Dave Jukam. He's such a wonderful TA! I think he liked the way I encorporated the experimental data by the guys at UoC that used reporter genes to find free telomerase to do crystal structures on. I liked it myself but he was like "!!" on it. ^^
Yay! Happy! ^^
Today, last day of Sounds and karaoke in Sounds. I will try not to wince to death. :\ I will NOT be doing any singing.
