LET'S GO ANDRE! LET'S GO ANDRE!

The audience in Arthur Ashe cheered this, almost as if hoping that the louder they cheer, the more unbalanced Becker will be and the better Agassi will be. I wanted to be there too -- yelling as loud as I could, cheering for my man Agassi and somehow propel him into a win.

I'm sorry for Becker but I really want him to lose. And I can just imagine that just about everybody else watching, they want him to lose as well. I desperately wish Agassi could win this, go on to play a night match with Roddick and go out with a bang. He has to break Becker, he just has to. If he can break Becker here, I think he cold have a chance.

I don't want to see my legend felled by this boy... And not at a day match either... :\

So I'll give him a cheer myself. LET'S GO ANDRE! LET'S GO ANDRE! LET'S GO ANDRE!

I spoke too soon.

Oh god, he's gone and out. Four set match. 21st US Open. A career that spanned generations. The fifth man to win all four Grand Slams. He was really a legend. To see him so openly touched by the fans, to see the fans applauding him, cheering for him, their standing ovation -- it just makes me so happy. God, I'm in tears now. I can't believe this is the last year I get to see him play. I can't believe that was the last time I saw him do his bow and kiss.

And during his address to the fans, he was just so wonderful. All he spoke about was thanking his fans and how they've supported him and how they've been so loyal to him. He was obviously touched. God, that man is such a wonderful person. It's so sad to see him go and I'll definitely miss him...

(My roommate called him a wuss for being so blubbery but since she hasn't obvious followed his character and seen him play and seen what kind of a man he is, I'll forgive her. Still it was hard not to go GROWL on her in a major indignation for that sort of statement. Especially since he is my favorite Pro to date and I have no intentions of going off and picking someone else. I'm half tempted to become a Federer fan but while the guy's good and is the best out there now, he still lacks definition for me.

Anyway, I hope Agassi has the best of luck and I guess I'll just have to root for him off the court now instead of on the court.
