Music Meme!
Dec. 2nd, 2006 04:10 pmWow, I've been tagged! That's never happened before. But then again, I've never been the most receptive towards these things either... Anyway, just because
List five songs that you currently love. It doesn't matter what genre they are from, whether they have words, or even if they're any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying right now. Post these instructions, the artists, and the songs in your blog. Then tag five other LiveJournal friends to see what they're listening to.
1. Coming Century - Rudery Big Up
I love this song. Like I really love this song. I don't know why, it's weird, I can barely understand it but it's so neat to listen to. It's been in my head for the last few days, ever since it popped up on my iPod when it was on shuffle.
2. Melanie C - Independence Day
This song is off of the Bend It Like Beckham soundtrack and Melanie C was a former Spice Girl I think. Her voice definitely sounds like one of them... But it's a neat song, all about girl power and it would have appealed to me even more back when I was a teenager but it still resonates with my general ideals.
3. Kimeru - White Night
Kimeru's White Night is like my favorite Kimeru song off of his last few releases. I adore this song. It's just beautiful in the way I've never found Kimeru's songs beautiful. I mean Kimeru's energetic, he's fun, his songs sometimes have a depth of emotion that is amazing... That is why I think this song is different and why I like it so much.
4. Tackey & Tsubasa - Slave of Love
Tackey & Tsubasa came out with an album a few weeks back and I had gotten it and wondered if I would like any songs on it. Even before I had listened to any of them, I felt that I would like Slave of Love. And lo and behold, I really did like it. It's probably my favorite song on the whole album.
5. Dream State - Change
My love of Change has grown ever since I first heard it. It's another song that I first listened to on my iPod and it was part of Asian Kung-Fu Generation's Nano-Mugen Festival for this year and this song is like all the songs I've ever liked. Good lyrics, great instrumentals to back it up, a perfect example of popish band music. ^^
Tagging...nobody in general. I've never liked the idea of "tagging" and even though I've allowed myself be tagged (hey, first time I've ever been tagged! That's enough to make me do this), I generally never liked the idea of having to do something. So I'm tagging whomever who wants to be tagged. ^^
Sidenote, woah, Daniel did not just suggest that they kill a sentient being. Sure, he's the hybrid using Anubis and human DNA but Daniel saying something like that? And for Danny to have been the one to shoot the guy... He's definitely changed in nine years. But it's definitely nice to see Woolsey grow as a character. It's like with each successive episode he's on, the more he learns as a person and the better he understands. He's still an ass in a lot of ways but he's getting better. I am definitely like him as a character more and more. Now that the show is in its tenth year, it's as though they've gotten so good at what they do, it's hard for them to learn more and more about themselves because they've realized it already. Cam's still getting there but everyone else seem so seasoned. So it's nice to see a perfectly confident individual reevaluate and broaden their mind. It's refreshing. ^^
Oh, Diana-chan? Try Independence Day and Change -- especially Change. It's another example of good piano rock and I think you might like it. I forgot to pimp it to you before and you should really try it now. I keep going "Oh what a great song!" whenever I heard it. :)
