Day at work
Feb. 3rd, 2007 01:49 amSo, I went to work today. I'm in the library for two periods on Fridays and I got switched into Ms. Lynch's Humanities class for two more periods followed by a period with Mr. Friedland's Math A. I think it's actually $A or #A or something weird like that and from what I understand, it's stupid Math A or something like that. NY's system of Math is just weird, just like their weird Regents exam things. I seriously don't understand how it's put together at all. I mean normal schools have math like algebra and geometry and that to me makes sense.
Anyway, the second half of the period spent in the library was spent alone. No one came. I seriously hope it's not like that every single week. It makes me feel weird, like I'm not supposed to be there or something like that.
Ms. Lynch's class is okay and I think it'll be okay in her class. It does cut into the time I normally spend with Mr. Friedland, but that's okay. It's not like I really did all that much in that computer class anyway... She seems really nice and the class is not evil so I feel comfortable in that class.
Mr. Friedland's class didn't change. It's nice being there since I don't do anything at all but there's seriously something wrong with his class. I think it's part him and mostly his class that's the problem but thankfully it wasn't so bad.
Afterschool work was...not so much fun. I was alone again. *sigh* But it is a Friday so I do give them that. And I will be working Mondays -- yay for more money (I gain $25 just from working Mondays), T_T for less free time. I must become more industrious over the weekends and manage my time much better from now on. I don't have any more free time in between classes... :( I will be busy every single day now... Monday and Friday until 5 PM and since I have class at 5 PM Tuesdays through Thursdays, it'll be even later than that on those days. And on Wednesday, I have class until 7:30 so that will be...difficult to deal with. *sigh*
That reminds me, I must work on my poster presentation for that freaking class.... Ugh, I haven't even gotten together with any of my group members and who knows when I'll have time to even do anything with them... *sigh* We'll just have to divide it up in parts and we each be responsible for our own parts or something like that.
Tomorrow! I plan to go to sleep sometime around 3 AM tonight, possibly later. Tomorrow I'm going to Strand as a reward for going to work today. It's a reward as a resisted temptation to not to go work and just saying screw it all and not work this semester. But I was good and I did go and because of it, I made $60 just from today alone. Yay! That's worth a book and the new Strand tote, isn't it?
Ever since I saw someone where it, I knew I MUST have it. I've been meaning to buy one of the Strand totes to replace my dying Chamber Leaders book bag... The design is totally dead -- you can't even make out "Hood River County Chamber Leaders" any more and who knows what the design it has any more.
Anyway, I saw the newest Strand tote -- black, with "STRAND" in red and the "A" of Strand as the Japanese character for book -- "hon." It's so totally cool. It's smaller than my old bag but it'll do for classes. Oh! And it has the words "New York City" in small print on the lower left corner. All around, very cute, very stylish, so mine. And I'm going down to Strand to get it tomorrow. And possibly another Haruki Murakami novel -- I've been meaning to pick up Wind-up Bird Chronicle for a while now. I'm so excited -- new bag, new book. Ah, that's enough to get my heart fluttering. ^^
