Oh my god, it's snowing so hard! It's like absolutely crazy! I don't think it's sticking at all but still, wow!!! Nopw this is what I've been wanting to see in New York (and in Oregon) but haven't been able to. It's sooo beautiful and awesome! I absolutely love it!
And the craziest thing about it is that I only came back to Water Street like five minutes ago and even as I was walking into my dorm, it wasn't even snowing at all! And now there's so much snow floating around outside my window!
So, today... I had a partially written up LJ entry for it yesterday but I lost it when my laptop went BSOD on me (twice yesterday, which absolutely sucks since this is a new laptop after all) but today's plans were to go to Circuit City, buy the Cobalt Blue DS Lite and then go to the soup kitchen and volunteer.
I woke up, went to Circuit City, they were sold out. I was there at about noonish so it was sold out in like two hours after opening. T_T I then went to the Third Ave. North computer lab to see if I could still buy it online. It was sold out on Circuit City's website. They were bundling it with a case for free so I thought to myself that I could recoup of the lost money when I have to pay taxes on the actual DS Lite (since the tax was about $11 and the case itself is worth $10). No dice though.
Best Buy still had it in stock but their bundled case comes at the price of the DS Lite plus a game that I didn't want to buy. I took a quick check online on one of the DS Lite trackers and it said Amazon had it in stock! Score! And I didn't have to pay tax on it! And I'm still getting it shipped here to New York! Yay!!! I have no case and I don't have it with me now, but I will soon! ^^ And I'm happy again.
Soup Kitchen went fine and we were finished by 2 PM which was nice. What sucked was that I was stuck waiting at the NYU bus stop for like half an hour before the bus actually came. It missed two time slots! And it was cold! And it started snowing just a little bit! It stopped later on but I practically froze to death... :(
I got back and the first thing I did was open the heat. And I don't even typically turn on the heat! That's how cold I was... :(
But now, I have food in my tummy, a nice glass of water and some chips just waiting for me to tear into them. And I get to be warm and dry for the rest of the day... That added with the fact that I finally will have a Nintendo DS, everything is just perfect. Ah, life is good. ^^
edit x1: The snow has already completely stopped... :( And oh my god, I see blue skies! This is totally whacked.
