This is really random but I just realized they tell you on your profile page what number your journal is. Mine's #290320! Did they have this information before? I hadn't realized it at all! I'm kinda excited -- it's an even number and anyone who knows me well, knows my obsession over even numbers.

But wait, those same people will say that isn't an even number at all! It's a 20 and Sherry hates 20s! Very, very true. In the twenties, I generally like 24. 25 is also nice, as with 27. These are all even in my mind. ^^ I know, weird. But what do you expect from me at 4 AM?

So, I'm #290320. 290,320th journal created on LJ... Of course Brad Fitzpatrick, creator of all is #1 and he created his journal in May of 1999. I created mine exactly two years and three months later. In that time, over 290,000 journals were created. Amazing, isn't it? And that was before fandom spilled over to LJ! After that, it's exploded exponentially...

I don't want LJ to die. All this talk of LJ death scares the hell out of me. I've been waiting for my ten year anniversary! I somehow missed my five year milestone and I regretted letting that day past with nary a post. When I realized it, I was determined to not let my 10th disappear without a mention. TPTB from LJ assures us this is their way of consolidating and moving their business closer to home. I get that. But a lay off in light of the poor economic environment we're living in is troubling no matter what they say. Things are unstable, people are losing money and business every day. And LJ was bought at a very inflated price... Who knows what the future may hold for us here? I don't want to leave for IJ or JF or any of the numerous LJ clones or other blogging/journaling websites. I like it here. I've been here for a good number of years already and it's near and dear to my heart. My sincerest hope is that I'll be here August 3rd, 2011 celebrating a decade of LJ love and memories. Before I would never have doubted it but now... *sigh*

Oh well, at least I have all my entries backed up and moved. There's really not much more I can do at this point except be hopeful.
