Hmm... I don't think I've ever noticed that Federer has a really nice ass. Random, but I'm watching the Australian Open Men Finals at the moment (3 AM, not all that late/early considering) and I saw him run to reach a ball and I got hit by, damn, that's a really fine ass.

I'm rooting for him. I don't like it when he faces Nadal because it always seems like if Federer is going to lose, it'll be to the ninja (who is not all in black this time around) and I like the idea of someone being so awesome that they win everything. Even if it's a bit predictable... I feel for Federer, I really do. Someone who is as awesome as he is has a lot of live up to and along comes this Nadal character who seems to ruin things for him...

But I guess it does make for a better match all around to watch. I have this horrible feeling that he'll lose even if they're tied (one set each, two games to games in the third set) right now... Well, Nadal is leading a bit (40-30) but it could go to deuce! Come on, Federer, break that Nadal's ass!

Oh, well, it was a bit too much to hope for. Still, awesome job on Federer's part in keeping that ball alive. I missed watching tennis... *sigh* It's so much better than football. *rolls eyes* I will not be watching but if I were, I would be rooting for the Cards. They did beat the Seahawks rather badly (I'm an Oregonian, we don't have a team so we use Washington's) but they sorta kinda in a way represent the West and they are in the NFC so good enough, I guess. Everyone here is rooting for them as well so might as well join the bandwagon.

Ugh, break point? :(

If I ever visit China again, I have to go to Chengdu and hold a panda cub.

I absolutely must do this no matter what the cost because I would be allowed to HOLD A PANDA CUB.

Even if it's like 1000 RMB for just a few minutes, I have to do this because I don't think I could forgive myself if I didn't.

It's too bad Wolong is gone but from what I see, the Chengdu Panda Breeding and Research Centre was unharmed in the earthquake and is also a cut above Wolong. At least they make you wear protective clothing (as little as it is) to try and protect the little panda cubs. And all the money does go to research so this is some great ecotourism.

I'm not so pleased with the correlation between of increased tourism to the rate of natural panda habitat destruction but the way I see it is like this -- China needs to do a bit more in protecting the wildlife and natural environment. Ecotourism is a good thing generally (increases awareness and appreciation for the natural world, generates revenue that goes to conservation efforts, etc) that happens all around the world. I'm sure it has had it's down sides around the world as well, not just in China but I do think it is manageable for minimized damage if handled properly. God only knows, no one wants the pandas to die out. They're big and cute and they just make you want to cuddle them (and you can for around $150 USD!), not to mention national icons for China. Helping the pandas keep their natural habitats and not just the reserves they have is just a good idea for both us and the pandas.

Oh, Passport to China, why did you have to get me all envious of the people who've held pandas before? I was quite content not knowing about this and never having to visit China again. And now I fear my life will not be complete before I've cuddled a panda. *sigh*

I should be asleep... Why am I not asleep and thinking about pandas... I only slept three hours last night too... Even with all the coffee, I should be dead... How frustrating... And if this little bit wasn't totally off topic, I just have to say, anyone who is using IE as their browser (so sue me, I like it and it's familiar to me and I will not leave it for FF and we have history!), should get IE7Pro. Totally awesome! I like being to recover all my tabs despite my computer freezing on me and me needing to restart. Totally, score!

And yes, I know, you can do this with FF without an add-on but still, for IE, it's awesome! Now what I need besides sleep is for Microsoft to get off their asses and put out a truly awesome IE8 that will kick FF's ass and re-revolutionalize browsers as we know it. Come on Microsoft, I still believe in you!
