(no subject)

Since today was a horrible and absolute fail on my part to be productive, I'm going to devote the next two and half hours to writing. No looking up, no going on the internet, no updating my word count on the NaNoWriMo site every other paragraph. I'm just going to do it. I hated the scene that I was supposed to tie everything together with but I'm going to move on. It stalled but I can't let it stall me. Two more scenes, hopefully another 1500 words tonight. I'm determined and I'm gearing up to do battle with my story.

I'm going to find my inner Harry if it fucking kills me. And Draco, since he comes off as a very insincere flake as of now. :(

Oh man, I'm probably going to have to rewrite as I edit it when I'm done... If I finish... I'm starting to think this is one of those stories that will never see the light of day... :\

edit x1: Finished! I ended up having no will power at all and ended up going on my LJ for a few minutes, writing Masha for like 20 minutes (><) and floating around the NaNoWriMo website even though I said I was going to try to avoid it at all costs... Yeah, that was a failure. But I didn't update my word count at all during that time! ^^

And I think I found the beginnings of a wank on my Regional board. It's all very interesting...

But I was able to accomplish my goal for tonight! I even beat it! 1963 words written! Yay! It's only 3 AM and I've already reach my daily quota! Double yay! Now, goal for today is to finish my scene and hopefully get past tomorrow's quota mark. ^^ It's amazing -- as soon as I dragged myself away from the scene that will not be mentioned (also known as the scene of suck and utter disappointment), I found my juices flowing again! It came so much easier after that...

And now as a reward, to watch Private Practice! And the Mentalist! ^^

Another Grey's Anatomy/Private Practice crossover?

Somehow I'm not feeling all too enthusiastic about it. I just feel like every time Addison goes to Seattle, her heart just ends up getting wrenched in two and she's all wrecked again...

But Mark in LA -- ah, somehow that feels right. Not that I want him to stay there permanently because yuck, I never really did like Mark but a crossover epi should be okay.

And lastly, about NUMB3RS -- geez, couldn't we have gotten a full last season? I mean, I kinda knew it was going to be its last season since it's been lagging and kinda boring (and I love NUMB3RS a LOT but even Charlie's explanations have been sorta forced lately) but this means we're only going to have 10 more episodes left! Including tonight's! :( The greedy side of me protests! More is always better!

edit x1: I think FlashForward broke me. Just a little bit. Gah, that was so sad...

Did I seriously do that badly on THREE days?



I bloody well disagree!

The only day I was actually under my quota was the first day by 27 words but on Monday I went over quota by 135 words. I admit isn't a lot but it's still not so bad to merit the bold red color for doing "monumentally badly"! I take offense, I totally take offense! And Thursday, yesterday, I didn't do that badly either! I went over quota by 644 words! Do I need at least a thousand over quota just to make to light green status? But light green was supposed to just show when we went over the quota... :( I'm not happy with this graph at all...

Seriously, it just makes my Tuesday progress look horrible! By that graph, I had no progress! And it contradicts my own personal Stat graph on my user page... Screw that. I'm just going to stick with the mini one where it just says how many words I've written.

I wonder if there's somewhere I can complain about this...

edit x1: Ah, I get it now... :( It expects we write every single day at 1667 words per day no matter how far along we are. So no building up a cushion and slacking off because that won't work. Well, that kinda sucks. Who has time every single day to write? I'm still a bit mad but now I'm feeling a bit sheepish as well... :\

This almost makes me feel like there's no incentive to write more than the quota if they're just going to do stuff like that...

edit x1: I've decided to stop writing for the day. I got through my three interconnected scenes and I emerged from it not hating my story! Score! I had wanted to get to 12,000 words but I've decided that I need to ruminate on my next two or three scenes before I jump into them fully. It's all about the plot now, and hopefully it'll develop somewhat nicely.

And I'm liking Draco more. Yay for that too. Harry is still kinda boring. Meh.

edit x2: Oh hell no. Somehow my word count dropped! Friday is completely discounted and I've gone bold red on Thursday. I think I kinda hate these widgets. >
