Did the writers of Psych never read Encyclopedia Brown?

I was finally watching A Very Juliet Episode yesterday and Shawn and Gus found the bullet hole in a tree by looking up because the tree had grown in the years since the bullet had impacted the tree. Except, trees grow from the top. Anything that was eye-level should still be at eye-level... I'm just saying. It's so unlike them to be wrong about something like that...

And now I'm finally caught up in all the TV I had pushed aside because of Brothers & Sisters. Unfortunately, I've also rewatched B&S so many times that I don't have any desire to do so some more. So I have nothing to watch... And it's Saturday which means nothing to watch until tomorrow (and B&S returns! Hurrah!). What shall I do with this free time? Read fanfics since I had also pushed that aside as well? Fix the Sims since the latest update totally screwed it up? Going through all the uninstallations, reinstallations, cracking, reinstalling all my CC and the store stuff just didn't sound fun...I just want all the cool stuff from the store since that's what is giving me all the trouble. :\

Someone should really write a step by step guide on how to do it... Because I am completely confused. At the very least, protect the saved game data!

Well, I'm not bored now. Ugh, dealing with The Sims is like wrestling someone who is a lot bigger than you and hell of a lot stronger than you. With moves that you don't know at all... So far, I've uninstalled WA, updated the base game to 1.9 even though it's currently at 1.10. But I have cracks for 1.9 so I'm keeping it there until everything is all good again. Now I have to restart, reinstall WA, hopefully be able to update to the corresponding 2.4 and then deal with the store situation. After that, ugh, I have no idea. Hopefully it'll work out.

But I'm not holding my breath. As it is now, I think I might have to give up on my previous games... My awesome Harry and Draco who were just starting their family, my John and Rodney who somehow ended up with two sets of triplets, even my fake!Sherry who had way too high demands and expectations that I had to create a guy for her because everyone else in the city was like cool but evil, cute but stupid, or too old... Yeah, I totally felt the fail on that one. *sigh*

Okay, restarting now because as much as I want to update on a uninstall, they always say restart first... And I want this to go well. *crosses fingers*

edit x1: Oh joy, my copy of WA is corrupted. Downloading a new one now. All 5.49 GB of it. *head hits desk* So now i have another three hours to wait on. At least three hours.

edit x2: 1/3 of a pint of Mocha Frappucino ice cream somehow makes this whole thing seem a lot better. 1h 40 mins left on my download.

edit x3: Well, WA and HELS have both been installed, with WA updated to 2.4 and HELS at 3.0. I'm scared to take it to 1.10/2.5/3.1 so I'm just going to pause it here and deal with the store/custom content/mods and stuff (I have no idea if my male pregnancy mod is even working anymore) and hope it all turns out well... :\ Maybe I'll actually get to play it sometime tonight...

edit x4: Okay, testing a new game... Hopefully this works... I shudder to think of how my old saved files will behave...

edit x5: No luck. Am trying another work around but am losing hope quickly...

edit x6: Some moderate success. Unfortunately, I don't seem to have all of the store files as I should have. I'm generally very, very diligent about getting every single file but the torrents that I download that profess to have every single store file don't. In fact, it seems like they're missing some of the free stuff out there... :\ I'll have to find a way to install them somehow...
