Huh. The Practice was filmed in LA. It's funny how you watch enough shows filmed in the same general area that eventually you start recognizing buildings and other locales. I think this is the third time I've seen the JAG Headquarters from JAG outside of that show. It's such a beautiful building, so hard to forget and so distinctive. I just love that lovely brick color.

And I went into watching Boston Legal without any intention of watching the last season of The Practice. I think I stopped watching that show a season or two before its last... Or I decided to skip it because they axed Bobby. No Dylan McDermott? Why keep watching? But then I started falling for James Spader... Man, if only I kept on watching because how could I not? He was the original Daniel Jackson! And I still see hints of him in Alan Shore. I think that's one of the reasons why I'm so absolutely captivated... He's nice when he wants to be, mean when he needs to be, and just generally odd all the time. I kinda like him a bit more in The Practice when he seemed less scrupulous but I do love those speeches he's prone to giving. They're so compelling and they resonate so well with me (well, I'm a die-hard liberal so it's almost a given). I can't wait to see his Supreme Court episode but I think that's two seasons away...

Anyway, I adore Alan Shore. I just fall more smitten with him with each and every episode. I wish there were more of his antitrust work... He called himself the best antitrust lawyer in the state and I don't really see much of it. He apparently has many corporate clients who apparently follows him -- I want to see one of their cases. I want him to be awesome at what he's most awesome at. So awesome...
