Yay! I have Hilcrhyme's ルーズリーフ!

And SARS released the first part of the Nodame movie! Double yay!

And it's two more days until Friday, which means a new episode of Yankee-kun to Megane-chan! ^^ I'm enjoying it, even if I'm watching raws where I don't understand half of what's said... Though, the half that I do understand added with having read the manga has given me a somewhat idea of what's going on (but no so mucht in the last two episodes since they really went off on their own on those).

Next episode is the class trip! I was hoping they'll do that arc since it seems rather important in terms of letting the audience know that the girl Shinagawa is searching for is Adachi. Though, in the manga they had already let that slip out much, much earlier...

It's funny because I started watching it thinking there was no way it was going to be as good as the manga. I mean, it's mostly humor and I had doubts that it would translate well with actual people. And it probably would have failed if they went that route. Instead, the drama is actually a drama, with humor (at times) and the characters, though the story is somewhat different, remain fundamentally the same.

I started watching it wondering about the guy they chose to portray Shinagawa, Narimiya Hiroki (27 years old playing a high school student?!) and the girl as Adachi (Naka Riisa) but I've really grown to like both of them. Especially Narimiya -- he manages to embody Shinagawa and be cute at the same time.

Man, it's really fortuitous that I started reading a manga with a drama currently airing... I wonder how that worked out? Actually...why did I start reading the manga in the first place...? *confused* Now that I think about it, I have no idea! And it was only last week! Fail.

Oh well, whatever. I'm enjoying it, that's really the important thing, right?

Anyway, the connection between Hilcrhyme and Yankee-kun to Megane-chan is that Loose Leaf is the theme song! And I should be obsessed with it -- after all, it is the new shiny song I should be playing with right now. And I'm trying to be a psyched for it but monobright's 孤独の太陽 is infecting my mind at every opportunity... I watched Samurai High School yesterday, after going through the six episodes of Yankee-kun to Megane-chan and for some reason, I found it interesting... Certainly better than Mei-chan no Shitsuji which has kinda scarred me a bit -- I don't think I ever will be able to under the Japanese and butlers...ever... So, back to Samurai High School... It was subbed by Timeless which picked up Yankee-kun to Megane-chan (can't wait for their subs!) so that's how I found it. *shrugs* I guess you could say it was part of my online wanderings. ^^

And now I can't get the words, 孤独の太陽輝いている、それとは知らずただ黙ってる out of my head...
