Well...I'm reading volume 75 of Major (2 more volumes after this to the end) and wow, did the anime gloss over it. So not cool. But I can see how there's an OVA's worth of material here so hopefully it'll be about this and not something they make up for a special side/after story.
But yeah, last episode... I think I hate you more now. Seriously, couldn't they have just, I don't know, did a couple extra episodes to finish off the manga? Seriously, that's really all it would take to do these last couple of volumes... :\ And I would have had more Toshi!!! Grrr!
Reading for fun means I'm not really looking up every single word I don't know but thankfully, it's not too bad. Thank god for shounen manga targeted at kids since I basically read like a kid when it comes to Japanese. At least in terms of vocabulary...
Man, this makes me want to see this OVA LIKE NOW. I want more Major! This manga isn't going to last! Maybe I should try and translate it -- it would stretch it out some more at the very least...Anybody out there who wants to tackle this project with me? I translate, you edit, we bang out the volumes 75 and 76, 77 when it comes out and maybe some of the earlier volumes as well?
Or, god, forbid, I learn how to edit... Cleaning seems daunting, redrawing seems equally so...Really, how to do people do something like editing without becoming overwhelmed?
edit x1: *dies* It's lines like "I choose to catch your ball instead" that makes me love Toshiya even more! I want to see this whole exchange animated! From the very beginning, the friendship and friendly rivalry between Toshi and Goro has fascinated me and the one thing I disliked about season six was the lack of Toshi... Please, anime gods, make up for it for doing this in the OVA! I would kill to see this this! Gah, when will December get here???
